I have tried parts of each and think the batteries are about the same. The Joye's may have a slight edge in getting to half-life, but I have an SLB battery, bought used, that is still going real well.

SLB attys that I have tried are a little cooler vape and I like them for fruit type flavors. They last me about as long as Joye's, but do not take dry burns like a Joye can. They also "break in" quicker.

Some dislike the SLB and some prefer them. Might want to try some SLB attys next time you get some and see if they work for you.

Hoosier is correct in terms of how these two makes compare in vaping. Let me add that this is mostly due to the difference in resistances of the heating coils. The Joye 510 atty coil is 2.2 - 2.5 ohms. the SLB atty is around 3 ohms, which means that the SLB is going to put out less power (wattage) than the Joye on the same battery. On 3.1 V devices, like the original 510 PV, this can mean that the SBL is too weak. On a true 3.7V device, like a 510 box mod or the Hello, the SLB will also be weaker than the Joye, but the higher voltage will bring it more into a good vaping range for most vapers. The higher restance will make them last longer than the Joye. There also is an airflow difference, with the Joyes having two holes, and the SLB having one, so it has less airflow than the Joye. Whether you like more or less airflow is a personal preference, but many find that the SLBs on a regular 510 atty tend to clog more than Joyes, due to less vaporization power and reduced airflow.

They do tend to be cheaper than Joyes on most vaping sites, but most people enjoy them more at 3.7V or more. YMMV.

I started out with a starter kit of each and after a short while I forgot which was which, I could tell the atties apart but not the batteries. It would make sense that the SLB would last longer on a 5 volt device, but I have not found that to be the case. In fact I stopped using them on my 5 volt and went back to the JoyE. I was popping the SLB's. It might have been a bad batch, I don't know. But, at 6 bucks each I'm not using anything that only lasts an hour or less.
