By sealed, I assume you mean in some clear plastic wrapping. I have heard of both in and out of plastic being sent to customers. Joye and DSE are the only two companies making these batts, as far as I know, and they are for all intents identical.

If by sealed you mean the atty-connection end of the batt, which is open for an auto, but "sealed" for a manual, then if you ordered manuals, they should be sealed (no hole going through the batt for air flow).

In general, if the site says they are Joye, then they are Joye. If they do not say, just list them as 510 batts, then they may be DSE, which is also called SLB on some site. Bauway also makes 510 attys, but I don't know if they make batts.

Giving the vendor's name would have helped here, since we often know exactly what brands different vendors sell. And we could have looked at their site and gotten more info on the batts.

Joye makes several popular models, the 510 mini is one of them. Others are the eGO fat batt, the Stick (aka Janty Stick) mod, the 306 super-mini, and (my favorite) the 302 penstyle. The majority (but not all) of the 510 and eGO batteries and the Joye Stick housing are manual (and should be sealed). The Joye 306 and 302 batteries are automatic (and can't be sealed).

I have some joye batts and they're sealed and I just ordered some new joye batts and. They came unsealed are hey real joye or did I get taken with some cheap knock offs?I'd just like to know if my distributor is trust worthy
Any info will be apprecated. Thanks

I think what you're seeing is this. At one point all regular mini, supermini, penstyle batteries were auto. The Joye 510 was one of the first to convert to manual and at first (and perhaps they had quite a supply of these) even the manual batts still had the hole in the center post although it was sealed beneath, but these were 'retrofitted auto batts' that were made into manual batteries. I had quite a few and they were fully sealed - iow, you could drip with no problem and they were Joye. There may still be some of those and that might be what you're seeing. I'm guessing if they happen to run out of the solid 'puck' center post for manuals, that they might use the 'donut' style puck and then just seal the battery under the post.

That said, it isn't like someone couldn't be doing a knockoff. Depends on your vendor. I know of no way to tell Joye batts from clones or SLB batts - other than there were many reports of the SLB/DSE 901 and 801 retrofits and PT's with buttons that were falling off. Not so with the Joye 510s - not that it hasn't happened, but I'm talking many reports on the 901 and 801 when that transition to some manuals began. You can pretty much tell a Joye atomizer vs. SLV, BestEcig and others by the fact that the Joye has a full band of metal mesh at the base of the bridge. The others have either very little metal mesh with the ceramic pot showing or just a silver looking washer. So if your attys are Joyes, best bet that the batteries are as well.
