Question for those of you with both a Cubis and either a Cubiod or VTC Mini.
When using the 0.5Ω SS coil, I get a very good vape using the SS316 setting. If I use the manual TCR setting of 0092 (which I'm told is the correct TCR for SS316) the vape is almost non existent. Same wattage and temp are used. Can anyone else verify this?
Thanks.

I can verify it with the DNA-200. Both the steam-engine csv file and a manual TCR of .00092 simply produces no vapor. This implies that the wire is not 316 as advertised. I have some genuine 317L wire here (almost the same TCR as 316) and it works fine with the steam-engine file.

I had to manually input a TCR of .00125 to get it to work. The wire they're using could be 430SS which has a TCR of .00138, but I tried that TCR and it vapes a little hot, imo. So it could be some other 400 grade they're using.

Interesting. I don't have a DNA200 but on my SX350j equipped mod, the TCR of 0.00092 works great using the 0.5Ω SS Cubis coil. Very confusing.

Has anyone rebuilt a coil on this yet? Just curious how hard/easy it is. I have a Cuboid on the way and am looking for a new tank to replace my STM. Does the Cubis go through juice fast?
In temp mode it goes down quite fast it seems yeah. I have it since yesterday morning used it during breaks and a bit before and after work, I'm 3 tanks down until now

That's odd, I'm rocking a Bellus with a 316L build and it's working perfectly with my vtc mini's 316L mode

Yeah but the bellus is not the Cubis. We're talking about the Cubis pre-built coils.

Yes, but:

"

Then you concluded the coils might not be real ss316L, thus the sa316L mode having a TCR for a different SS grade matching the coils.

That's why I said what I did, I'm vaping real 316L on that mode and it's perfect so there's something odd there.

I sent an email to Joytech and asked if they had plans on an rba head and the response I got was that they will forward the email to the r & d department. Lol. If they make one that holds 5ml or more and has an rba, I'd buy 4 of them! I'd bet they would sell very well.
I was told by Joyetech they are working on one & it shouldn't be long
