Ordered a Delta ii and build deck. Anyone have pics of their builds on this thing?

From what I've seen, it's a Kafun-like simple build--a cotton or rayon "bunny ears" wick through a single coil. Very similar to the Subtank build. Their premades come with a vertical coil though, like Aspire's (fiberglass :p) BVC.

Where have you all gotten your Delta 2's? I've wanted one but never pull the trigger quick enough.

They are selling like hot cakes, apparently. Just keep your eyes open--or click notify me button at your favorite vendor's website, if available. I'm afraid that supplies may be scarce, and with the Chinese New year just around the corner, there may be a shortage of Deltas for quite a while.

OriginVape has some in stock, $34 plus about $5 shipping, or free shipping if the order is over $50 I think. Sadly, they don't seem to have replacement coil heads or the rba section for it in stock.

Those of you who have the Delta II and Subtank, how much better is the flavor with the D2? I've had the Atlantis a while, Subtank arrived last week and the D2 will be here Friday.
FYI- here is how i rank the sub-ohm clearos
1.delta 2
2.subtank
3.atlantis
this is all subjective, of course, but i'll explain my reasoning. my first concern is flavor and in this the delta coil seems just a tad better than the subtank with regards to taste. joyetech has always built a better coil with their older clearos and it has continued with the delta 2s. for me, the atlantis isn't even in the conversation. just doesn't seem to measure up to the subtank or delta 2s. after the flavor, then other things like looks, price, etc. are considered. the delta is the size of the atlantis while the subtank is the largest of the group. the subtank hols the most liquid but for that it is huge and just a little too top heavy for me on my mods(yihi sx mini). with the best flavor and a more workable size i think the delta is the best. with the subtank you get the rba deck included in the box, the deltas is a seperate purchase, and the atlantis doesn't offer one. if you don't plan on using that deck with the delta you just don't have to buy it-same with the atlantis.the subtank also has higher ohm coils for those who don't wish to sub-ohm, but why buy any of them if you don't wish to sub-ohm? that really is the point of these clearos. there are plenty of other choices if you don't want to sub-ohm so why buy any of these and then not sub-ohm? i guess if you like the looks but if you have a tank that works for you already just get more coils instead of a whole new tank that uses different and more expensive coils. i think the coil improvements will spread to the older products so if you don't sub-ohm you will soon be able to get cotton coils for what you already own(that's what i hear )
as usual, with the advent of new products , vaping can get confusing but with these it is pretty simple- the delta 2s have excellent flavor and the ability to make your own coils if you want to. the subtanks have very good flavor and the ability to make your own coils and are BIG. the atlantis, well, you can have the atlantis- i think aspire comes up short for this go around. as always YMMV but i don't think you can go wrong with the delta 2s and the subtank- i prefer the delta 2s. thanks for reading, p4p

Peter, great comparison. Glad I bought the RBA for the Joytech, I was under the impression I was purchasing 2nd deck. I too own the SX Mini and the Subtank does look a bit silly on this device. The Subtank Mini, however, looks great (guy at our local vape shop had the Subtank Mini atop his SX Mini). Be interesting to compare the flavor between the Subtank Mini and D2. Just received confirmation that the D2 is out for delivery today so I'll have it running by this evening.

i have been vaping it steady for a couple of days and switching between it and my subtank. i really think the delta2 has better flavor. my only complaint about the delta 2 is the glass slits-it is hard for me to tell what the juice level is trying to look through those narrow slits. not a deal breaker for me 'cause it does deliver but i just wish it was easier to see into. that could just be me but you can see for yourself soon enough. after the first tank the flavor really starts to improve so give it that much before you really decide...good vaping!!!

Well I got an IStick 30 watt with a Kanger Sub Tank Nano and I love it but today I picked up the Delta II and well... a little under whelmed so far. I am vaping it at 25 watts and its just not the experience I was hoping and told it was going to be. My guess is I need a higher wattage device. I am going to get the IStick 50W aand try again. Don't get me wrong its really nice to complain is just crazy but I think at lower watts the nano performs better. Plus the Delta II is harder to clean. :2c:

I think you're right. From everything I've seen and read the delta ll really shines at higher wattage.

~sigh~ My Delta 2 came today. I had it for all of 2 hours before the wife confiscated it for her own use. I knew I should not have let her try it....

While I had it, I compared it side by side with the Kanger Subtank Mini. From the short time I had it I found that the flavor was about the same as the Subtank Mini. Wife says it is better. Airflow on the Delta is absolutely better. Clouds are bigger due to that alone. Delta has a minus though. That tiny itty bitty gap you have to fill through, and it holds 3.5 ml of juice vs the Subtank Mini's 4.5 ml and super easy fill. Subtank Mini comes apart easier and comes with an RBA deck and two coils. Delta 2 doesn't come apart for cleaning, and comes with two 0.5 ohm coils. The Delta 2's RBA deck is separate and another 14 bucks.

Pure Performance goes to the Delta
Fill & Maintenance goes to the Subtank Mini
Included options with the base tank goes to the Subtank Mini
Price to the Subtank Mini assuming the RBA deck is a requirement.

edit to add: Smoke Xpro M65 @ 27 watts, also, the vape IS cooler with the Delta 2.

Just read the manual (yes, I'm admitting this on a public forum) and the wattage range 20-45. I assume you run the stock coils on the highest juice flow setting if you want to push it up to 45W. I'll mess with it tomorrow.

you read the manual??? i bet you stop and ask directions when you are lost....don't get me started about the toilet seat....gee, turn in your mancard at once.....

Just did a quick 28G twisted to 1.1ohm and it's working great.

Got 'er set up last night. Initial impressions:

1. Build Quality: Excellent
2. Design - Pain to fill with the small space between the chimney and wall, had liquid drip through during my first refill. Just need to be careful.
3. Vapor and Flavor - Stock coil almost full open, 80/20 VG juice, have it up to 35W. Flavor is amazing once the coil breaks in a bit. Can definitely take higher wattages. Also, I've not had one burnt taste since the first pull.

Annoyances:

Drip Tip - Thought I was going to have to pound it in with a hammer after cleaning it before initial use (even with a bit of water on the Delrin connector). Rubber o-rings on the Delrin shredded a bit. Anyone else experience this?

Noise: They need to design the airflow for less noise. I picture all the neighborhood dogs running up on a summer day when they hear it whistle.

Small annoyances aside, this is a great tank and will be my primary tank, knocking out the Atlantis and Subtank. We'll see how the Subtank Mini does when it arrives in a couple weeks.

The people who cant get this device to go past 40W or anywhere near 70W, are you sure you're inhaling hard enough? Because the airflow is what matters at high wattages, and inhaling too slow will not provide the coil the air&juice it needs, and thus will burn the wick. I mean you really need to suck the .... out of it at high wattages (also airflow all the way open) to not burn the wick, and be able to get nice hits even with 70W. JM2C..
