No dry hit yet, but that's because I'm paranoid about not vaping my tanks dry. Ive noticed a little pulsing on low and medium, but not on high.

Well, think of it as testing purposes.. ;)
A nasty dry hit is what most of us want to avoid.. I just hope joyetech got it right in this.

I think attaching a rda on the ego one vt mod would be the easiest to tell between a dry hit and a good vape

I won't say I'm an experienced vaper, but.. I can tell a good vape to a bad one.

Does it perform well on low settings? Have you used the Ti coils ? I was a confirmed tootle puffer with protanks and a provari until I won a subtank mini and a mod not too long ago..that was a huge change. Then this....ha! I really don't get much off of the low setting. Medium is good, high is amazing! The flavor seriously pops, and lots more vapor. Tomorrow, I'm gonnabtry the Ti coil and run a few tanks through to see what the difference is. I'm saving the kanthal coil for last...

I just switched to the Ni coil......burnt out my Ti coil to do the testing.

I believe the temps are a bit weaker on the Ni, I much prefer the Ti coil on this mod.

Sent with one hand, the other is busy vaping
I'm switching tomorrow to Ti... Same flavors to compare.

The inconsistency is a bit worrying. I think it varies with different types of coil eg. Nickel, titanium... Resistance of coils, diameter or wire and all sorts. I think they all perform differently on all three settings.

However, would love to hear the results of the nickel coil..

Have you tried rebuilding a Ti coil at 0.4ohms just like their stock coil and measure the temps..just to see if it performs like their stated specifications

Also would like to see a primed cotton being vaped till bone dry to see if dry hits are present.

Ok...finally got back here! Switched to Ti coil today...I think I prefer it, at least so far. There seems to be less pulsing on medium, and when it does, it's less obvious. Flavor seems a little more defined, and brings out a little extra sweetness. It does, however, warm up the bottom of the tank more. But all in all, it's still going like a champ from yesterday's charge.

Here's the down and dirty......if you are an advanced user, this may not be enough for you, but if you want simplicity.......they don't come more simple to operate.

Speaking as a rookie...this is perfect. Simple, foolproof, and pretty looking.

I think it can appeal to both parties. I believe many people would love to have a temp control mod with the tube form factor.

If joyetech could just use a spring loaded 510 that would be great. (Unfortunately not) I guess they only want users to use their vt tanks.

That being said, it still has to function properly in TC mode if it is marketed as one. I think it is crucial due to the inconsistencies. (Weird boost feature and different temps) They should have really iron out the software in this... However, 2300mah at only 85mm I'm sold. It's the perfect stealth mod

Alright guys, here are my few impressions of this device after fiddling with it.. So happy it arrived early in the mail

1) There is no resistance lock. I did a nickel build about 0.2 ohms... Fired it, took out the rda and put it back on. Dry hits ... Seems like the ego one does not remember the baseline of the resistance coil

2) Temperature control seems to work fairly well. But the drop off is quite noticeable when the cotton is 'almost' dry... I say this because when it started to pulse, I see the cotton has not really gone dry but still moist.

3) No dry hits at all from the stock nickel coil atomizer and my fairly 'decent' spaced wrap nickel coil on my rda. This kinda show they did a great job preventing any dry hits.

4) Flavor is pretty decent, but I really dislike the mega tank. IMO, pls joyetech.. Spring loaded

Well, the instruction booklet does say clearly to make sure coil is at room temp when attaching the atty [emoji14]

Would like to add that I was brave enough to vape it with a full lung hit (tank is empty) haven't got a dry hit. ;) Make sure to prime the cotton first

Anyway here's my nickel build used for the test.. I'm gonna order some titanium gr1 to mess with when I have the time...

Would this work with a Uwell Crown in TC mode? Would it be safe?

I really like my current Ego ONE battery but am not a fan of the tank for various reasons. I'm thinking of going with this battery but a Crown tank.

But I don't understand the electrical implications well enough to know if it would be safe.

It will work well with that tank, no worries. Don't let the complications of TC scare you.. In this device it is simple as hell, and works perfectly in preventing dry hits. It's not the world's most accurate temp control mod, but it works fairly well and is very small in the palm of my hands.

Go get it
