I've been using the Ego One for a week now and so far, mostly very good. But this is my first time using something with this amount of power and my eliquids taste totally different. Often not in a good way. The two staples I use are The Duke and Casablanca and they taste pretty bad in the Ego One. One of the Banana Custards I use was pretty tasteless in my iclear 16 setup but it is very nice in the new setup. Also, I use high nic juices and the throat hit is overpowering. I'm guessing these are issues that have been discussed before but I'd be interested in a few pointers and comments about your experiences. What juices taste the best to you guys in this type of setup and what mix of VG vs PG, nicotine etc? Also, this is pretty new to me and I'm sure my taste will change as I keep using it.

My diy vanilla tasted just terrible at 30 watts, thinned it down 50/50 with straight pg and added a touch(20%) of strawberry or peach juice to spruce it up...it's nice. Of course thinning it down affects nic and flavour but that is what I was looking to do here.

You may want to start by adding only 25% more base and do a test for flavour, before you go all in at 50/50. Cheers.

All ego one owners, how do the coils hold up? I'm REALLY interested in this device since vaping on an RTA and a box mod in public feels strange. I'm more comfortable with mouth to lung hits on my nautilus when I'm out and about and this device sounds like a dream! I'm just worried that here (in korea) I won't be able to find any coils for it. Or should I just pair the battery with a subtank nano and not worry about the coils?

So I just got my Ego One today. I got the 1100mah smaller battery, a 1.8ml tank with a 1 ohm coil preinstalled, and a 5 pack of 1 ohm coils.

I immediately stuck the battery on a charger, filled up the tank with some strawberry milk flavored liquid, and let it sit there for a bit while I did a few chores around the house. Fifteen minutes later, I decided to finally give it a vape. Pretty impressive vapor for such a small mod and good flavor from the tank. The airflow is very easy to adjust. I have mine almost entirely closed as I prefer a tighter mouth to lung hit that resembles smoking a cigarette more. Been vaping on it for the past hour and no dry hits yet. So far, very pleased with it and I see myself using this a lot. A welcome edition to my current rotation.

Other thoughts... this thing is small!! Even smaller than I expected. I mean, I already knew it was small but seeing it in person made me realize how small this mod actually was. It is roughly the size of a mech mod in 18350 mode, but slightly skinnier since it is 19mm instead of the usual 22mm. The full "small" version of the One is about an inch taller than my iStick without the tank and the Egrip. I'm using the stock SS drip tip that came with the tank which is fine, but I did try putting some different drip tips on it. Most of my tips seem like they do not fit very snug with it... kinda loose.. so I'm just gonna stick with the stock tip for now. Another thing is when I opened the tank for the first time to fill it, the coil was stuck to the chimney/airway inside the tank instead of being screwed onto the base. Not a big deal though, I was easily able to remove it with my fingers.

I'm about to take care of a few errands around town so I'm gonna bring the One with me for the ride and get familiar with it. I'll report anything new if anything worth mentioning comes up. Here's a few pics for size comparison (will have to upload from Tapatalk on my phone). I have small girl hands so if you're a guy with big hands, this will look even smaller in your hand.

I have had the Ego One for about a week and it is my first venture into Sub Ohm vaping. All I can say is, "wow!" This thing hits hard and the flavor is amazing. However, I quickly learned that I had to drop my nic down. I am normally a 6mg vapor and I am liking the Ego One at 3 or 0 nic. Anymore than that and it is too much for me.

The coils seem to last a good long time and the form factor is amazing. So far...I am loving it!

Yes, I actually find myself doing more lung hits since it hits so smooth. I am using 0 nic though and normally vape 6mg. The sampler pack of juice I got only came in 0 nic so I thought I'd test them out in the One tank. I don't really do lung hits, nor do I understand why people suddenly got all into doing that since no one really lung hitted cigarettes (at least I don't know anyone who does). I've always been accustomed to mouth to lung hits, but I have to admit, a good lung hit is kinda satisfying. Although I don't see myself primarily lung hitting.

My only gripe thus far is not being able to easily tell how much juice is left in the tank, a slight whooshing or whistley sound when taking a bigger/longer hit, and the atomizer base feeling a little warm when chain hitting. None of those things are deal breakers though, just nit picking. People have complained about the rattley button and yes... it is somewhat rattley. If you shake it. Since I am not using my mods like maracas, it should be fine. A different styled tank covering would be great though, one where there is a larger window for viewing the liquid.

Yeah Kyi the juice window is a pain to see how much juice is left and my button is a little rattley but like you said definitely not a deal breaker and it's great to test out new juices because of the small tank. My Billet Box and Provari are are not getting much use lately.

What a delight!

Just went to the local store comparing the One XL with 1Ohm head to the Subtank Nano with 1.2Ohm head to see which is more suitable for mouth-to-lung hits. The OCC coil in the Nano produced a pretty hot vapor but actually lacking density and flavor. But Joyetechs CL head absolutely blew me away. A very! thick vapor. Cool & flavorful - very enjoyable! And all this despite having set up a very restricted draw. It's tank is also much smaller in height and allows a finer tuning of tighter air intakes.

My eGrips RBA base has arrived today as well. I like it quite a lot, but it got a serious competitor now.

I'm on day 3 of using the One, still on my first coil and probably put about 10mls through it so far, which isn't much I guess but I'm using my other mods too. It puts out a massive amount of vapor compared to my other mods with a full lung hit. Then again, I don't lung hit my other mods and this device is actually getting me into doing lung hits. Yesterday, I was driving to school and took a rip in my car and the cloud was so big I couldn't see the road for a second and had to roll down my windows to get rid of it all. But yea... I prob won't be using it when I drive because people in the car next to me were staring and not in a good way either lol.

I still love my eGrips though and they are both good for different vapes. Joyetech has definitely put out some good stuff recently. I'm interested in trying to rewick it and clean it using the method mentioned here earlier in this thread once my coil's performance starts going down. I kinda wish I had gotten some of the 0.5 ohm coils too, but maybe I'll pick some up next time.
