Went from cheap off brand kr808 based from convenient store.. wasn't great but it got me off cigs, ordered a E9 from the web, it worked ok, but refilling didn't seem to yield good results, even empty cartos.. packed too tight, had to drill extra holes in the tip and screw it loose to get a normal drag, and I'm not one looking for a loose airy drag, it was just way hard a pull... Went to blu and couldn't have been happier.. the size was perfect, felt like a cig, classic tobacco tasted great but the refills are expensive so I wanted to mix my own.. well it was hit or miss, out of a five pack maybe one carto would refill several times before crapping out, two would crap out before I got a chance, and the other two might work once.. I never seemed to have the liquid consistency right either..

then I stumbled on the eroll online
Ordered it and it was more cig like than the blu. Light, can dangle it from your lip, great transition from cigs. It's a funny power house. I liked it so much I ordered another kit and carry two charge packs work me.. they're small enough that way I can keep two charged all the time and I can vapor like a maniac while out of the house all day and not worry about running dead... it seems to like thick juices and I like a lot of vapor.. I'm mixing high vg, little water and only pg is in flavorings. I still mix thicker than the type a atos deal with so I started making stainless mesh wicks.. tons of vapor and hit, no burnt taste, wicks like crazy.. which is a pro and a con..

Cons: The heavy wicking and vapor eats through juice fast.. but mixing your own costs so little I don't mind that.. the tanks are small, so refilling a lot sucks, but it's become second nature to me already, but I'm probably killing the tank end faster having to remove it so much.. also.. even on a new tank, with the stainless wicks I get a lot of leaking into the air chamber and around the atomizer head.. that's probably the only real annoying thing atm although cleaning had become second nature too. I'm experimenting with how I make and put the wicks in, have some ideas that might help slow the leaking, I'll probably make a post about it if I get it right.. I'm probably losing 30 percent of my liquid in the tanks to this leaking issue..

That being said, I still love these things like crazy, and really the problems I have with it I created with my wicks.. So clearly I'm willing to bare those things for now and I'm fairly certain a little ingenuity will get it straight.

If you're like me and hung up on the cigarette form factor and a little put off by the clunky larger devices.. there's two ways to go.. turn key get a blu kit, but if you don't mind filling, or are interested in mixing your own liquid you gotta get one of these... If you try one and like and vape away from power source a lot, you might end up caring two like me.. the pcc is small, so two isn't any fatter than a pack of cigs.. I'm thinking of missing mine together into one unit.

I am debating on getting an ego with a twist battery and drip tips for when I'm mixing, but I think I'll be sticking with this mini cig firm factor for my main vaping. I can kill a battery in one session.. lowered my nic so I could vape more, but I always got another charged.

Main thing anybody coming from cartomizers should know is clean your atomized(I drop them in vinegar and take last two out while these two sit in it.. every other day or so.. and maybe learn to rewick you can buy wick material online, much cheaper than atomizers, cause the coil in them lasts a very very long time, so 25 bucks is a lot to pay for 5 them just because a little wick material got burned up... wow.. I'm yakking.. hope my opinion is helpful to somebody on the fence about what to get...

My PCC seems to take longer to charge and is not delivering as many charges to the eRolls. I think it's on the blink or about to be. This isn't bad since I've used these continously for the last 3 months or so. Anyway, looking to get at least another PCC- possibly just go in for a complete kit...Where seems the best place/price for these at the moment (with coupon, etc.)?

When it gives up the ghost, if you'd like to donate its body to science let me know.

So this thing only uses proprietary atomizers? Whats the lowest ohm available?
Has an adapter come out yet to use other things with these?
And these are regulated batteries, correct? anyone know what they are regulated at? 3.7v?
I'm still trying to figure out what the volt is regulated at? I feel like its 3.7v but I'm not sure.

Hey Plumes. Enjoyed your Volt cig a like enthusiasm and not surprised to see ya here. I was going to mention on that thread about atty and little tank probably giving better vape than cartos. Youve sure got me wanting to try a volt again. I had to choose between those or eRoll. I try to watch my purchases. Don't know why except the $ money savings! It all is going to get used for the greater good in the end ( that's my favorite justifier) but $ has been drained by some extra stockpiling of DIY stuff for the present.

They vape strong until they don't so I think they're regulated in that the stay same voltage until the blue light flashes the end. Good question re volt. They're not any higher than that is my guess.. You won't be using any adapter on these and the atty is its best feature. The have low reserve 1.7 or 1.8 Everyone says they can't tell the difference

Maybe, if the cart comes off. Really there is no reason to use it that way. Use the one in the pcc, and replace after using. You could just carry a charged battery without a cart as a backup, but I don't find it necessary.

I have been doing the same. I carry 5 pre-filled carts and one extra atty in a tiny little ziploc bag at the moment (from a syringe tip I recently ordered). Plan to grab a pill case or a small box of altoids whenever I get around to it for a proper box for my carts.

Given that I tend to vape with my eRoll like an analog (a few minutes here and there), and always pop the battery back in the PCC, I have yet to have my eRoll battery go dead on me.

1) It uses the eGo-C, Type-A, Atomizer, which is Low Resistance and works between 1.8 - 2.2 Ohms. This Atomizer series is used in three of their e-Cigs, the eGo-C, eCab & the eRoll. Ref: Joyetech eGo-C Atomizer Head

2) It's tank system is proprietary. There's no adapter available as yet to fit other types of tanks AFAIK.

3) Quote/ "The eRoll 90mAh lithium rechargeable battery delivers a constant 3.7 voltage output and includes intensified short circuit and low voltage protection. With its high safety and exceptional stability this battery provides groundbreaking performance from a sub-100mAh battery." /Unquote Ref: eRoll Rechargeable Battery | E Cig accessories @JoyetechUK

You know, I have assumed these were unregulated batteries because of the way they drop off right before they die. But looking it up, they do say they are regulated at 3.7 volts. From my own experience they work really well until right before they die. My last few puffs will give hardly any vapor. The ego c atomizers come in standard resistance at 2.2 ohms and low resistance at 1.7 or 1.8 ohms.

No adapters, but I wouldn't want to use anything else with this system. It's perfect for me the way it is.

You won't want to use other things, the tanks and attys are good and last a long time. They are easily disassembled and re-wicked with ss mesh.

The assembled unit clicks into the pcc so larger tanks or other modifications would not work.

I don't know if I would even refer to it as a drop-off; it seems to go almost immediately when the battery charge drops. If I haven't charged it in a while, my eRoll seems to go from just fine to nothing pretty quickly.

The future of e-Cigs hold in the likes of eRoll! <This one's what a microSD did to the erstwhile Floppy Disc.

B'coz of this ingenuity of Joyetech I could convert two of my [heavy]smoker friends to the vaping world just this last week. "One Act of Random Kindness at a time" I guess.

I have made the test, and these batteries are regulated to 3.4 v. I think the same way as eg. ego-c.

Anyone know how to clean the battery?? I think my atty flooded the battery and now it is not working great.
I want to clean, or dry out my battery, any tips?

I would love to know how others are cleaning the battery/contacts. I have used a qtip and a paper towel to dab the area dry, but I'm afraid to do any serious cleaning because I'm afraid I'll bend those contacts.

R u sure it's the battery and not the atomizer which is in the thick of it?
B'coz, if the juice drips into the battery; and it stays like that for sometime, it could ruin it. In which case nothing much could be done than replacing it. Incidentally & thankfully, the eRoll batteries r pretty inexpensive, see HERE. And the atomizers r further cheap, see HERE.
