Running mine with a MutationX V4, dual coils, and a z-wick. Loving it!

It not on steath mode..its on normal mode..i try on kanthal nickel n titanium..but when my mod is without atty, ohm is not changing to 0.0ohm..also when screw in atty nothing like 'atomizer shorted' pop up..changing coil between kanthal nickel titanium the resistant is not change..
Try pressing the spring loaded 510 in repeatedly for a few seconds. Could have something stuck inside of it

Resistance lock keeps dropping by .02 ohms which in turn leads to temp limiting kicking in, when this happens the vape is pathetic at best.

As a temp limiting device it's pretty much unusable because of the non functioning lock - Joyetech are about to learn that it was a mistake not to include user upgradeable firmware as this will cost them a bloody fortune to fix the affected units.

Mine is going back and I'm a tad .......

OK well it had adjusted down to .32 ohms where i started.. Over night it went down to .30. I'll have to put my dmm on it today to check the res.

I'm trying to see if I can gleen any information for the ohms change in wattage mode. If I set it to 2v at .30 it will raise the coil to .55 ohms and caps out. (More power will go higher) so I should be able to determine something from this I think.. Just not sure what yet.

At .30 this is anemic. It seems the base temp when cooled has change to about 125c so I have to turn it up higher.

So I guess I see the issue and trying to figure out how to deal with it!

I powered off and on, holding the button on the 5th press for a bit and I get it to pop new coil message and now reads .4 ohms and the temp is 70c and back to vaping in ti mode well again!

Edit- err its back a .30 which is probably more accurate. I'll just vape it like that as it seems stable but the ti temp is way off now.

I know it seems to have a lot more power with ti in nickle mode. A lot more heat and room to raise the temp. I'm only on day two of temp control. The vw mode worked great for me.

Really not sure why its not upgradable. ?!#?

And my mod still reading ohm even no atty on it..
If it still reads ohms with no atty on it then you have a short somewhere. I'd check to make sure you dont have a foreign piece of metal in between the positive pin and the threads in the 510 connection. Give the 510 pin a few pushes with a screwdriver or something to free it up. If that doesn't work there must be a short inside of the device.

Give up Jeremy, I don't think there's any fixing these things. I tried everything I can think of, but the resistance still wonders around. I just crank up the temp and put it in stealth mode so it doesn't OCD me too much.

The only thing I'm sure of is that lower resistance builds wonder less than higher resistance builds, so temp is off a little less with Nickel than with Titanium.

If the damn things would actually lock resistance we wouldn't be having this conversation.

Well after two weeks i got it to work well for 3 whole days now..... ST mini V1, Ni coil with .12 res (locked and no fluctuations) at about 35W .... working for 3 whole days now without any problems. Only do one thing: after charging with res unlocked i only put the tank back on and then turn the device on. Lock the res. and stable through the day. Never got the "new coil, same coil" back again but since i lock it every day it seems to work better like this. I've been using this exclusiveley for the last days (but take my sx mini with me) and even if it's still half full i charge it anyway.

Maybe this will help some of you. Still not very happy that it starts at 30W but that's the beast...

Yeah, I am now seeing the temp issues you all were talking about; its only my second day with ti and tc.
