The vt has been flawless in Ti mode with the Plume Veil rda with a .2 ohm Ti build. The device produces the same temp vape each and every time. Not so with the STmini. The small changes in atty res .02-.03 are causing me to have to move the temp control up or down to compensate for a vape that's too cool or too warm. It may just be that the floating intermediate pos pin in the base of STmini is causing the res change....perhaps due to heating and cooling of the atty. Could be that the 510 spring in the VT isn't strong enough to overcome the floating intermediate pin's insulator friction in the STmini's base, don't know, but I do suspect this is the case. All three of my STminis behave this way. One worse than the other two.
Aw, dang! And I just ordered a black Subtank Mini V2 for some TP builds with my Evic VT. I do know that my original V1 Subtank with spring loaded 510 fails to connect except rarely and briefly and I took it to be because the two springs don't play nice, but to be honest, this is the first I hear of the STM having such problems. Anyone else having trouble with TP builds on the new STM V2?

Ok, my STminis are working great now. No res fluctuations in 24hours now. The floating pos pin in the base sectiin of the STmini is fitted so tight in its grommet that the evic spring loaded 510 is not strong enough to push the pin into the rba pos pin. What fixed it was to push the pos pin in firmly to ensure it makes good contact with the rba before mounting the STmini on the vt. Absolutely flawless temp control now. Great clean predictable vape on my .2 ohm Ti coil. Kinda wish the vt had a slightly stronger spring in the 510.

So, as to the not playing nice with the v1 sub tank.....i got that sorted. Simple fix..... Just turn the evic off before putting the tank on with a new coil. Once it's mounted you will get a truer ohms reading when you turn it on.... Then immediately lock the ohms....been going strong on the v1 sub tank with rba section for 2 days now.

Much appreciated, but unfortunately that doesn't work for me. What's even stranger is that when I test the V1 Subtank 510 connector with my voltmeter (set on ohms of course) by fully depressing the spring loaded pin with one of the probes (the other on the base of course) it registers nothing. This same Subtank vapes fine on an old duct-taped IPV2 and all my mechanicals. And I can read the resistance on all my other toppers in this fashion with the voltmeter just fine. Maybe I don't understand how spring loaded connections work?

Look at your build closely, sometimes the negative leg can touch the positive side. I've had to stick a little flathead under that leg and raise it up a bit a few times

Yep, I know. I check that every time I rewick. But it isn't that, because this same build that doesn't register on the Evic VT and the voltmeter vapes fine on other mods/mechanicals. It's a .8 Kanthal build. I'll try another build just to make sure.

I haven't had s problem w my subtank mini? What's going on w the 510?
Wait editing ... It's the bigger subtank right? The mini works fine on nickle or regular coils.

It's the very first Subtank, even before the Plus. Has a spring loaded 510 connector pin. Glad to hear the Mini works well on the Evic, I'm waiting for the V2 which is supposed to have an improved RBA base.

I made my first ti coils for the evic vt. Wicked with rayon of course, single pull...

Went all out first try, a dual coil dripper. Only pretreatment was quick wiping with stainless pot scrubber and alcohol.

Infinite clt v1, copper pin.

28g unkamen ti, 2.4mm, 9wraps, .32 ohms. 50w, 580°f

Working well so far. No problem wrapping it as you can see.

Ohms are steady will see what happens.

I don't know if anyone has answered your question. The thread is so long and I am so late in finding it! When I ordered our vic vts I also ordered a couple boxes of replacement Ti coils, labeled eGo ONE CL Ti. They do have 4 holes. I just changed over to one and can't tell a lot of difference. Still getting muted flavor but I do use higher vg ejuice.
ic,here still can find the CL Ni or Ti yet, but 1 of local vape saller told me he will bring in some CL Ti and I also plan to but the CLR coil too cos I also plan to get a black delta 2.

mv subtank mini v1 still work fine and some time will have the problem that have been mention in here, some time smooth some time not much or vapor some time tasteless but 80% of the time are working fine with the OCC Ni200 coil head or the rba with Ni wire build at .13 to.15ohm.

Cigbuyer has premade Ni200 coils for the arctic, but I don't know if the arctic or these coils play well with the VT. Maybe you should ask in the RBA subforum.
