Yeah after using it for a couple hours, I'm really liking the temp control, I like it somewhere between 460-500 degrees. I also like stealth mode, I have no need for a display to light up every puff, but with a quick tap I can check my settings. I'm in love. And I agree, I lock my isticks, but with this knob I think I'll be just fine keeping it unlocked.
I set it for the full 60 watts and I switch the temp between 450 and 480. At 480, occasionally I can taste a slight hint of the juice just starting to burn (not a dry hit, but the juice tastes like it is overheating).

Yeah I'm running at 60 watts right now. I never thought I'd ever run a mod that high, but with this it's doable.

Hey tony, this is right up your alley..

Kanthal, Ni, & Ti.. Plus 5000mah in a tight little package...

Best price you'll find is 53.00 for the mod only.. Good luck finding that price in Europe though.
Yep and I wouldn't need to build it :)

53 sounds great BUT you know what overseas ordering means... Month waiting time, fighting with customs and probably pay 30% tax on it... In the end 70€ for the express kit and a month or more delay... Not sure it's worth the 10€ I would save :/

Regards
Tony

I pre ordered the Evic 2 weeks ago from VapeNW. I got my shipment info email this afternoon so I should get it in a couple of days. I can't wait to see how it does with my Subtannk mini. My istick 50w has been my workhorse but I'm ready to dive off into the TC world. Have my nickel coils on standby.

I have to say, the tank really does suck terribly compared to subtank. Sorry but it's just my opinion. I mean it works, but the flavor is like nonexistent after using subtanks for a few months.

It certainly is noisy

I have had a cold for a week, so I threw in some NLV Bounty Hunter in the Ego One Mega, since the higher PG always helps clear my head and I am familiar with the flavor. This is my first foray into Temperature Protection and nickle wire. I'm not tasting the nickle, and the flavor is pretty darn good. I'm running it currently at 450F @ 50W and it's warm and not much, if any, different that when running in wattage mode.

I'll pick up a spool of nickle in the near future and try my hand on the rebuildable side. TP is a nice option to have. And everything is working as expected.

I have only found 1 place that has titanium wire and it is $14.99 for 15 ft seems like a rip off :nah:
Ya spider silk is what everyone is recommending. It is expensive but I picked some up since it is a lot cheaper than buying coils and everyone is saying it is a lot better than nickel for building. It will be used exclusively in my drippers since I don't mind buying ni200 heads for my tanks and it will be fun to test out all the new prebuilt coils that companies are making. I just picked up the smokme .1 ohm ni200 coils which have great reviews.

Found something a little annoying already...Can't back the watts down in reverse have to go forward. That is somewhat of a bummer
That's because when in the menu system, going left she's something different :p
I'm guessing that in watts mode, left and right will toggle the power up and down

Another annoyance on the Mega tank it goes into Temperature Protect too fast and when I switch tanks it doesn't always ask for a new coil or same coil
Turn down the wattage and it will reach the temperature slower and thus temp protect slower. This often times causes a cooler vape but thats what titanium is for ;).

I emailed them about making a software update that allows you to adjust wattage down in tc mode.

I had it turned down to 30 Watts and 460 and it hit quick. This isn't my first TC Mod. I have the SX Mini, IPV4, Vaporflask, Hana V4, Vaporshark so I know it isn't what I am doing
