Mine appears to believe it is hotter than it is...
In TC mode, (w/ both Ni200 and ti stock heads) As soon as you hit the button, when the readout displays the current real-time temp,

I fire it cool and can see it starts out at like 300 degrees and within a second hits Protection mode.
So at 40w and TC set anywhere between 480 - 540, I fire the button and it hits protection within 1 second. Then, continuing to hold, the wattage output just drops like a stone. It does not turn itself on & off in order to maintain a certain temp.

Fire it... 1 second later power is dropped out... Within 3 or 4 seconds, the wattage display typically drops like this:
40w
31w
23w
11w
9w
7w

Even weirder...
The VT Mega tank works fine on my M class.
And my ST Nano (Ni200 .15 ohm head) works fine on the eVic.

I've sent it back to vape NW
i have the same issue here. is it ok or not? I use the Mega tank Ti coil and setting. Not yet try Subtank Mini with Ni200 coil.

Honestly, I sent mine back not knowing for sure.
I did make a 15 second video but I don't think I can post that here.
For me, it works fantastic for a day and a half. Fantastic flavor, huge power, temp control would flick on and off as it was supposed to.

Then it began to act up randomly I would take it apart rinse it out tinker with it put it back together and it would be okay for three or four hits. There is something on their website in the FAQ section about blowing out the atty. They seem to acknowledge the problem there.

If all of a sudden it feels like you have no power, watch the real time wattage display while vaping in the bathroom mirror.

I'm on day #2 with my eVic and so far no problems and I'm loving it.. . Honestly I dont know why the mod lets us go up to 60w in Ni settings... I set my temp between 480F--520F (depending on time of day) and it doesn't need more then 35W to run perfect.

Once you start your draw (if your watching it in mirror) you will see it start temp controlling kick in almost right away. Yes the wattage bounces around 27, 14, 18, 28, etc (examples) but that is all depending on how hard/soft you are pulling the air over the coil cooling it down.. If ya watch the temp reading, when I have it set at 500F, I see it bouncing between 491F---498F and to me that tells me it is doing it's job pretty damn good...

I havent had it too long, and I am using those pesky Kanger STM NiOCC coils, but I am getting better flavor/bigger clouds/longer draws out of my Kanger STM then I EVER got before...

Love it..... Just need my damn black subtank to make it complete. lol

i notice the mega tank get hot very fast. once the tank get hot the temperature protection kick in just a few second once fire, i have to let it cold down for a few min before my next draws to get the vape i want. and yes the juice hole size really not for chain vaper like me. 1st draw the flavor are good, after 2 to 3 draws it's tasteless.

ok i notice a little more issue. i hear sound if i put close to my ear. it sound "yeee.." and "tick tick tick…" at the same time. Any one notice that?
Yes, it's very faint but there. I believe it's the chip cycling checking the resistance.... You will notice that it reads the coil "live", constantly checking it.

Did anyone watch Indoor Smoker's review of Evic VT? He has put a titanium coil and first used in nickel mode and later switched to VW mode on the same head. Why don't people start by reading instructions first before using an advanced device?

Mods: VS rDNA 40 / Cloupor Mini
Attys: PhenomenoN Zest / Lemo Drop / Lemo

so it's normal?!

I noticed the same sound at one point when holding the mod up to my ear, I don't think its cause for concern.

This mod is blowing me away! I put nickel builds in my Lemo and Subtank mini RBA(I KNEW picking up that extra RBA section would come in handy one day, now I'm able to keep one built with nickle and one with Kanthal for quick swapping if I change mods), and 15 minutes of actual building and use did more for me with understanding the principles of temperature control than countless hours of reading about it did(though I'm sure that research was instrumental in picking it up as quickly as I did). Very very impressed with how it all works, and happy that I was able to catch on to a whole new ball game of building material and power principles. I thought it might be a nightmare, but it was surprisingly intuitive. Tomorrow I tackle RDA's!

Now for a question on battery/charging safety, as I got the express kit I didn't get the 1A wall charger, are the guidelines of USB charging LiPos the same as the Lithium cells? I wasn't sure and somehow doubted it so I have it charging off a 1A port on a power bank with different powered ports, but for the future I would like to have some flexibility in charging...I have a plethora of .75A cell phone chargers and a wall USB socket that puts out 2.4A. Is it safe/healthy for the battery to charge higher on the wall port, lower on the cell chargers, or should I search out a 1A wall adaptor next time I'm out? Thanks!

I'm ignorant about this too.

In theory you would be fine, but 1 amp or lower is recommended for li-pos to limit heat
