I think I just got lucky, mine works how it is supposed to. If I lock it in it maintains if I unlock it the resistance changes with temp. When I hit the desired temp when taking a puff it pulses to maintain temp. My buttons don't have any play, I can shake it like crazy and it makes no sound at all.

I feel bad that everyone isn't having the experience I am, all the talk about how it "should" work is generally exactly how mine seems to work.
I see no resistance change on my screen when firing, but It regulates temperture perfectly! (It just doesn't know what the actual temperature is sometimes:facepalm:)

edit: the only time the resistance changes on my screen is in "power" mode

Yeah I have had 0 issues with mine also. I've never used another temp device, but this works better than I was expecting. It's a cool feature, but still not something I need really.

I certainly don't need TC but I find myself using my Evic more than any of my other mods right now. Temp does seem like a better way to dial it in than wattage or voltage for me.

Do you mean you actually see the resistance change on the screen while vaping ?
Never seen that on mine, It's always the same as from start only it will lower sometimes a bit after not using it for some time but that seems to be normal (I'm not sure about that, it depends on how the chip reacts on this change I think) but I don't see the resistance change in combination with temp.

But good to hear positive experiences, enjoy it!

Not while puffing but after a few puffs as the coils resting temperature is raised it changes.

I think we have reached the heart of the problem. Those who are seeing the resistance change while unlocked are working perfectly. Those that are seeing no change when unlocked are getting an inferior vape experience. Is there a poll feature in this forum? Would like to know how many people are experiencing this issue and what color mod they have.

My vape is great, it's just that the resistance was wondering around for some reason causing the temp to change.

I'm still going with atty issues, but we'll see.

and mine is Yellow, but I'm sure color has nothing to do with it, LOL

But that's when it's unlocked right? It's supposed to change when it's unlocked.

I don't think any of us know what it's supposed to be doing. I think there was just a misunderstnding when someone said it was changing on the screen. Although, I wish it did work like that.

I need to switch out coils. It could be something wrong with that particular coil but doubt it.

I'd bet money it's more of an atty/coil problem than a mod problem...but not a lot of money :)

I actually do know this is the way it should work. Here's the test 2 unlocked.
The lock feature is so when you reattach the tank/atty after filling the ohms will stay the same as heat changes the resistance. To keep the TC working right it needs to maintain the same base resistance. When locked you won't see the "new/same atty question.
