I would love to think it was a mechanical issue, (I can fix mechanical issues!) but mine changes resistance when it's locked! That's got to be a glitch...I think!?!...(see sig)what tanks are you using in TC ? "Silver" flat pin 510?

I think it might do ok for you. In Ti temp, 480f I just cranked up the power to 50w and took a stiff lung inhale for one-one thousand, two-one thousand and got as much cloud as I get for five seconds at 35w. Just to give you an idea, after two or three of those, the kitchen is misty, and it's not a small kitchen. And that's with the small wick-holed ego one mega.
Hello, Alaskavaper her. I have a delimna that I would like some opinions on please. I ordered my Evic vt last week and it arrived yesterday and I unboxed it this morning. I had seen PBusrardos review shortly after I placed my order and was happy his review was largely positive, giving it a thumbs up. Because this is my first TC device, that made me feel like I had made a good decision. After unboxing this morning I checked Busardo'ss web site "tasteyourjuice.com- what a shock! He changed his review to thumbs down today after following up email complaints from some knowlegable Evic users that were having problems with burnt wicks when using the device under 30 watts, which wattage levels Busardo had not used in his original review. He therefore ran his extensive scope tests at the under 30 watt level and he found that the problem is use in that range. Apparently at these lower ranges in both watt and TC modes the device puts out a burst of 8.4 volts for about 1.28 seconds and thereby causes a burnt taste from the wick. This seems unacceptable and a flaw in the devices performance. Since I have not used the Evic yet, only unboxed it, I am stuck with the question of returning it or wait for Evic to address this matter. It is a clearly authenticated problem and Busardo has altered his opinion from the thumbs up to thumbs down now. Does anyone using the device have any thoughts on this? Thanks in advance.

Only way to sell Evic VT v2
I am not getting a very good impression about this device from this thread...Seems like like there are some good ideas but maybe not the best execution..
I would think initial demand was much higher than anticipated and with that they've used all of the parts back through the warehouse... not that uncommon in mfg... not desired, but not that uncommon.
If you consider how many people are complaining (some without even using it) and how many units have been sold (bunches) I would have to say those experiencing problems may not be as numerous (although more vocal) than those who have learned to dial it in for a satisfactory vape... some of those dissatisfied consumers have actually come back to say they found the problem not in the VT but in their atty/coil.
As with all purchases, you really shouldn't purchase until you feel comfortable with it and are willing to spend some time sorting out any TC issues and experimenting to find your best vape... take your time - TC is here to stay (till the next new tech is here anyway.)
I dont need telling about TC, I have 6 TC mods and counting...I also realise that forums are where you hear the bad bits of course. It just seems to me that there have been some bad choices here..the 30W minimum being one of themm I dont need joyetech to tell me how to do TC vaping frankly. I guess some do..
Sorry TheotherSteveS... wasn't trying to imply you didn't know anything about TC. Just saying the way the device performs doesn't ruin it for me. I figure I'll adapt to the device rather than expect it to do the same thing all the others do.
