    Hi
I am a kind of newbie and want to know how much vg/pg ratio to use in MTL Zenith tank
I got max vg 80/20 with it and read that I should go for more pg

Try what you have and see how it works out.
    70vg/30pg works fine

Shouldn’t be that big a deal either way I would think. Might effect priming time, but once the device is primed capillary action will take over.

My first thought is that your Zenith coils should be able to handle a 70vg/30pg e-liquid. Try it and see if you get a burnt taste or dry hits. Make sure that you prime the coils properly, first. Not just a few drops of e-liquid, make sure the cotton is thoroughly saturated.

And "break in" your coils gradually like this user does with his coils.

The main issue with MTL coils is the feed holes are generally on the small side. Vg is thicker in consistancy than Pg, so it doesn't wick as fast as Pg. So the e-liquid may have a tough time reaching the cotton wick. That can lead to a burnt cotton taste or a dry hit with really thick e-liquids.

By comparison, subohm DTL coils have much larger or more feed holes to allow the user to use 100% Vg.

The manufacturers website is generally a great place to begin research.

That video on breaking in a coil was incredibly informative. Thank you.

I use a max VG in one of my tanks and it works just fine.

I let new coils soak over night or at least a few hours. Either in the tank or in a shot glass sized vessel.

Fellow Zenith user here - currently using a 70vg 30pg liquid and have been all week. Found the flavour to be a little muted compared to say a 50/50 liquid but with PG being what carries the flavour, that's not a total surprise.

VG carries flavor too. It does mute flavor though somewhat. I vape nearly 100% VG diy, so I plan for that when I mix the juice

I have vaped up to 90% vg liquids in many MTL tanks and maybe coil life was slightly shortened but with good priming it was okay, most of the time.

I started DIY so I could use PEG400 instead of all that VG it was pleasant but I have a feeling your zenith will perform just fine with juice of whatever persuasion, maybe requiring a bit more thorough priming. Etc.
