This is very confusing (would have guessed hardware but other juices seem OK?) Would have also guessed VG/PG ratio. You mentioned something that implied building your own (RTA, rda) It really does sound like you have good experience with this (including DIY juices) and you say this is happening with "drop-in" coils? As usual, more info (tell us everything... be specific) What tank, what mod, which coil (do you know what metal it is... Kanthal, Ni80, SS?) TC or regular power mode (watts) Do you get vapor even though the flavor is off? It's the old "20 questions" game... even small details might help us figure this out. Does the mod read correct resistance, do you keep checking that the wattage hasn't changed (are the mod settings locked)?

of course. I’m down for 20q. Voopoo drag, ohms reading within 0.01 ohms correct, for tank freemax mesh pro with x2 (0.2ohm) and x4 (0.15ohm) coils. The last x3 got fried, per the story. All coils are kanthal mesh. No clue any details beyond that. Tank is relatively new to me. Only had it a few weeks at this point and haven’t had the interest yet to dig more. RDA is 20g static quad coil on a 2 post glacier pulling around 0.1ohms on a handmade unregulated. I pretty much never touch the RDA anymore so I’ll shift focus back to the tank. Priming ritual is prime the coil and let soak for around 10 minutes, start around 50% of final wattage so in this case around 50-60w. I started 65 this last time but after 10 minutes of soaking usually the only difference starting at a lower wattage makes is in coil life. Never burnt until just now. So this is new to me. I do always pump the button and take small hits at first. Hazard of coming from unregulated. No power curve that I am aware of. I was a religious Reds Berries Iced vaper so I still have a few bottles. That’s 70/30 Vg/pg and it wicks and vapes PERFECT. My juice is also 70/30 and it’s like it’s just. It getting into the cotton. If I increase the PG content by an unspecified amount then it does seem to help with that problem, but it doesn’t help the juice at all which quickly begins to get an earthy flavor. Per others suggestion I diluted the juice down to 5% flavoring and that did help a LOT but it is still a bit dull and leaves me with a flavor in my mouth kinda like I want to guzzle a proper German Stein full of water. Just has a thirsty after flavor, if I had to name it. I get, not a lot, but, the most flavor during the ramp up but it quickly goes flat and feels like vaping pure VG with some nic. I don’t know if that has anything to do with steeping time but it certainly isn’t enjoyable.

I can’t think of anything else in particular but if you have any other questions, I’m ready to answer. And thank you!

Wow... I have to say... very good answers (and everything sounds like you really do know what you are doing) Thanks for all the info (and could help others figure this out) I'm no expert (many others here have much more experience than me) I'm just the guy that asks a bunch of questions and sometimes I get lucky and actually find the issue (or by asking questions, help others find the issue) Could this have to do with your DIY? Do you mix by volume or weight? Hey... I've made mistakes mixing (it happens) Anyway... we will figure this out.

You mentioned that one of your flavors had water as an ingredient. Unless it is a lot of water, that shouldn't be a problem. You could try doing SFT on each of your flavors and see if one of the flavors is causing a problem.
That’s what I am doing with that water one right now. I am letting it settle for a little while and I’m gonna see what happens

Update. I think I may have hit a sweet spot, so to speak. I mixed up a 5% flavor solution of JUST the blue raz candy and that tasted really dull but it is hitting pretty great. So I added just 2 drops of TFA blue raspberry and now it has a lot of flavor. Not very sweet but a ton of flavor. I was hoping to avoid artificial sweeteners but unless there are suggestions I may have to go that route. Thinking ill order some tonight just to have anyway

I'm notorious for high flavor percentages and not afraid to use sweeteners. But any fruit flavors I use I rarely go over 8% and that's with me using a couple different fruits at one time, like 3 different strawberry flavorings in my cheesecake mix or when I made a lot of lemon dessert flavor juices I used 2 or 3 different lemons in the mixes. Never got into the candy flavors much though and personally, blue raspberry is not my thing so I can't advise anything different that what the others have said. I was also thinking about the water thing. If one of the flavorings is water based and you went to 20% on the flavor, it could be that you had enough water in the mix to not allow the coil to operate properly. I dont know if that's a thing or not but I threw it out there tryna cover all bases

I am till suffering from one problem which is, all my flavors are making me salivate a TON. I mean a LOT. Its not dry, or like vapors tongue, it’s just, it’s like not eating or drinking all day and then every hit gets this after effect like someone put a 250 gram burger and a liter of beer right in front of me and said “but you can’t eat or drink it yet!”
