Once I put a jar of chicken broth in the freezer, and it cracked. Is there a special type of jar that won't crack - will a canning jar like a Mason crack? Please and thank you.

Nicotine, PG and VG won't freeze solid in a normal residential freezer so you don't have to worry about them cracking glass bottles.

They will however thicken at those temperatures and may need to be warmed a bit before you plan on using them in your mix.

Probably because the broth froze, expanded, etc...nic, pg and vg don't freeze, so no expanding. That would be my guess anyway. I'm no glass/freezer expert ;)

Okay, I'll try putting my bottles in the freezer again then. Thanks everyone.

PG & VG have to be stored in the freezer? Nah, tell me it isn't true pleeeez.:(

My freezer is half full of homemade dog food. I don't let my pups eat commercial dog food - the veggies in commercial food aren't organic, and they use white rice and all sorts of bad stuff - no wheat germ or flax seed or anything good for them. Oh well, maybe I'll just cook less and more often if so.

I only keep my nic in the freezer...but it's in either a vg or pg base ;)

I cook for my pooches too, but mix it with uber premium grain free very expensive dry food. One has mega allergie and I have no choice...spoiled rotten dogs.....

Thanks for the link, Boston! I will be ordering some bottles sometime this week! I also use very expensive grain free food for the "baby" of the house! I thought of cooking for her, but I am not a cook by no means (I usually live on frozen pizzas!). So I just feed her the kibble, give her enzymes daily, and the supplements. I was also giving low dose aspirin, but she has tummy issues from time to time, and she has been off them for over a month, and doing fairly well, so I think I will nix that entirely. I applaud those who can make their own healthy dog food! Unfortunately, I can't even make healthy human food!

No big deal really...I mostly just boil liver, chicken, etc and mash it up to mix with the high quality dry (the only way I can get the little ones to eat it...I swear they're more like CATS!). My 'big boy' (allergies, arthritis, thyroid...name it :( ) gets coated aspirin in whatever I can trick him with. His stomach is sensitive too, but luckily he'll eat anything so most meds get crushed up in his food (another reason for adding meat to the dry). Can't do that with coated aspirin tho...

How about beer bottles with screw on tops ?

IMO you'd have the same issue as with baby food. Once you unscrew those lids you never really get a tight seal with them again..
