It's not even a flooding issue, so much as a way too moist wick? Lol over saturation, I guess? Haha. Maybe I'll change my mind when it's here

The cyclone has become my favorite rda and I just found an AFC cap for the new LP Grand I have on the way!

Edit: the stock hole seems to work fine for me also... Never floods or even gets too wet. Maybe I'm just lucky like that?

three cyclones here and I have not had any issues with the hole placement..
one of my cyclones does have a threading problem. and with that I just use the lower hole to feed the coil wire thru.
It's doesn't affect squonking or vaping, so I'm good.

I did enlarge the air holes.

of all the bottom feeding addy's I've tried, the cyclones are the best..

Why the need to drill a lower drain hole? My two cyclones don't drain all the juice out, but I find it helps me in keeping my wick wet. Never have any flooding issues.

I really like my cyclone and am thinking of picking up another one or two. The juice feed hole on mine is very low - just a shade up off the deck, and it sucks almost all the excess juice right back down the tube. I can be an aggressive squonker when I'm preoccupied with something else, and I've never had it leak out the air hole I enlarged.

I pocket mine in suits and dress shirts at work and have had a juice stain before from the Reo riding with the air hole down. I try to keep it facing up but things happen. So the lower hole drains more and I'm less likely to have an event. I've drilled two Cyclones and one Divo to have lower holes. It took several cobalt 1/16 bits per hole. Also cutting oil helps prolong bit life greatly.

I just got a cyclone from mountain oaks and my juice hole was at the deck which surprised me because I heard it was like the cyclone which I have. Maybe they made a change, I dont know, but I was pleasantly surprised.

Sweet that's pretty low. I do hope that they've updated the hole for all cyclones. I could probably just file that down all the way to the deck with a rasp.... Woohoo! *crosses fingers*

Looks like they have moved the drilling of the 2 holes on the center post down lower. This is a good move, and will work fine. No need to go drilling holes or do anything at all. Did you add the philips screws Harleyndn or did it come with them?
