Just bought a cyclone..

Mine was purchased a couple months ago from Mountain Oak Vapors and the hole is pretty low, although may not be as low as the one pictured above. I have no flooding/leak issues and no leaks out of the 1.6 mm drilled hole either. Here is a picture of squonk and then released.

Ok so the bf feature I guess is something each carrier of the product does in house? Or maybe this is something vicious ant is doing production wide?

No, I'm pretty sure its done at the factory. It requires a fair amount of precision that few in house places would have.

ETA - its starting to look like hit and miss as to where the holes are going to be, which is no big deal as it seems to work fine anyway, no matter where the holes end up

Looks like they have moved the drilling of the 2 holes on the center post down lower. This is a good move, and will work fine. No need to go drilling holes or do anything at all. Did you add the philips screws Harleyndn or did it come with them?

I too have a cyclone from mountain oak on the way, be here tomorrow! I am hoping to eventually find the AFC version as I think this would be amazing on the LP grand that also hits the house tomorrow. Then there is the much awaited for upgrade kit that Rob will have...it just doesn't get more GRAND than that N

I just looked at mine. Haven't done anything with it yet but the bottom hole looks just like that, very low, almost on the deck.

I already tried that site yesterday, when you click to add to cart is when it shows out of stock but yeah spent about 3 hours looking for one....now if I wanted to order from over seas then I might have a small chance lol......just hoping they come back in stock in the states eventually.

Well I don't have my Cyclone anymore but I can tell you my feed hole was a good 2mm above the deck ..... nothing like that last pic. It was purchase a long time ago though .... Maybe 7 months ??

I was enjoying it at first but lazy took over and I just stuck with the Chalices .... they are idiot proof and my cyclone could flood bad if you oversquonked it.

I need real screws lol. And I think on my next build I'm going back to cotton. But so far... Drains well, and yummy, very yummy. Have to be careful with how close my coil is to the cap...

The AFC cap fits perfectly on the IGO base as well- just need to raise the coils to line up with the air holes! Budget cyclone AFC!
