Oh yeah, what atomizers do you recommend?
I tried using 306LR and 510LR attys in my Alpha, though the alpha really sucked in terms of drawing liquid from its res.

I liked using the 510lr directly dripping, but the excess juice running down the side used to piss me off, lol, since it would run down the ego battery.

Ready to give them another try with the reo, which ones are better?

Absolutely, give them another try. :) I love the 306s myself, but I've been using 510s lately. LR of course on the 3.7v batteries. I saw TennDave give this little bit of advise in another thread ....it may be a good idea to get comfortable with the less expensive atties. You may even find you like cartos better. As with most gear there will be a small learning curve. But it should be relatively short. Just don't squeeze the heck out of the bottle...you don't want to fill the catch cup. I like the Cisco 306LR and I like the Joye 510LR. I like the HH357 too, but the price tag is a little limiting for me.

Keep us posted! We'll give ya a hand if you need any assistance. :)

Thanks.
I liked the vapour I got from the joye 510lr and 306lr. Its just that because the res never worked as good as promised, I got anot of dry hits ad ended up ruining the atties very quickly if i did not remember to keep it wet.
In the end, I treated it as a direct dripper and just left the res on to catch the excess juice that used to come thru the atti lol

Ordering some 510lr joyes now :)

My god, I've spent so much in the last 24 hours lol, each time saying it will be the last lol

Haha...ya, we've all been there! But once you find what works for you...you'll find you don't spend as much.

On a side note: while learning what works best for you as far as feeding the atty goes, may I suggest you count your vapes. that's what I did when I started and it helped me find a rhythm. For me it is about 4-5 vapes, then I rejuice the atty...and just a little. I use the blind squonk method, which is drawing on the atty without firing it while pushing gently on the bottle. It doesn't take much at all. Once I found the number of vapes that worked without getting dry hits, it just sort of became second nature. I don't even think about it any more and I rarely ever get a dry hit.

If you haven't been in this part of the forum before, be sure to check this thread out. It is a collection of threads that many have found extremely useful over the years. We keep adding to it all the time. :) http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/reos-mods/270331-free-reo-forum-thread-index.html

Well, tbh honest I have tried everything from cartos to tanks and everything in between (spent oh so many dollars haha), and i prefer direct dripping, as it gives the best flavour of all the methods ive tried.
It was just a hassle carrying my battery and at tie, juice bottles, paper towels, and could get very messy sometimes.
So I spent the last 6 months looking for something to make my direct dripping experience better.
Everyone recommended the Reo, but not wanting to spend that much I tried the apex ultramax and Boge Revo lol, if I had listened from the start I could have bought 2 reos hahah

Thanks very much for the link, lots of gr8 info in it and I've been checking it out :)
Watched 4 youtube vids also, so feel i will be an expert by the time it comes haha

I feel confident enough after using my alpha and revo, that the learning curve should be tiny if any at all. I'm pretty good at determining when the attie needs to be reprimed, just by the sound and feel of the draw. It may be a little different to the other devices I've used, but I feel I can suss it out real quick. I mastered using 510lr attie on the revo in seconds :)

I've ordered some 510lr atties and some beautiful JuiceWhore flavours (snickerdoodle cookie, dels ultimate pipe and del's apple pie, if you haven't tried Juicewhore I highly recommend them :) ). I've only got some boge cartos at the moment, but when that order gets delivered I'm gonna save them all for the reo, haha
Once again thanks for all the help guys and gals
I really appreciate it :)

Cheers
Kev =)

Oh yeah,

What about polishing and keeping it clean?
My Apex Alpha Ultramax was also an aluminium mechanical mod, which was silver in colour.
Over time, the mod seemed to build up a layer of black on it, and the only way to properly clean it was to use the polishing cloth and polish to buff it back to its nice and shiny state. At $15 per pop, i used the cloth and polish sparingly. It wasnt caused from my hands as the switch, which was the most touched part stayed silver, but the rest of the unit built up this black coat. Even areas rarely handled, such as the Lid of the Res.

Does the same thing happen to the reo? I bought the green one, so it shouldn't I'm assuming.

The anodized and powder coat can be cleaned with mild soap. I don't use anything else on the metals. Have not had issues with discoloration on anything except the Nickle. I do use the Never Dull on that one.

Love my Reo Grand. Great for long trips being as I dont have to worry about filling a tank or drip.

I use AW IMR 18650s and chain vape. I pretty much go a whole day between charges. And I use Cisco 301 LR attys (1.5 ohm) and Smoktech Shorty 1.7 ohm Cartos. I find I like my cartos and attys the same. Sometimes I find my cartos a better choice as I am having a hard time keeping my atties from burning my juice.

One thing I think I figured out is if you over squonk (keep your atty or carto TOO wet) you will get burned juice and bad taste. Its taken me a few months to figure this out as I was going thru a carto a day, and now Im using a carto a week!!

Either way..good luck! You will love your Reo! Remember when you get it...post a picture of it or it didnt happen :)

OK everyone,
Today I received my batteries in the post.
I thought I had bought them from a reputed e-cig store (there aren't very many and I've seen positive feeback on this store at the aussievapers forum) but on inspecting the batteries I am worried they may be counterfeit AW batteries :(

I paid $32.00 for 2x batteries and shipping.
The battery has "IMR 18650 3.7V 1600mAh" printed on it, but the "AW" logo is a separate sticker, not printed on the battery itself.
Have I gotten a cheap knock-off?

Just checked the tracking on my Reo, and it touched down in Sydney today. Still gotta clear customs, but I should have it by the end of the week :) That was pretty fast!

My mic juice on the other hand, first one got lost so they sent a 2nd one, and its still not here. Things are so slow from china :(
I hope my supply holds me till then. Don't know what i'll do if i run out, and would hate to go back on the analogs....
