Just Curious about Rebuildable Atomizer

I noticed since I have been back many new threads and quite a few post topics about Rebuildable Atomizers. I totally get the cost effectiveness but Im curious who still uses regular attys and those that don't are your rebuildables as good as your old favorite atty?

I use to use HH 357's, among others. Have no intention nor desire to go back. Once you get past the short learning curve of wrapping coil/wicks it opens up a whole new world of vaping possibilities.

Unlike a wife, the initial investment is known going in and then constant and repeated use of the rba just keeps getting better and better. Ya just don't get bored with 'em, especially since you can change their physical characteristics at a whim... without losing half your stuff.

(The ladies may have varying opinions.)

I used to use HH-357s all the time and now I ONLY use rebuildables. They really are the BEST attys I've ever used. I thought it'd be a little complicated and wasn't sure I wanted to get all into it.....but I'm soooo glad I did. The coils are easy peasy (and cheap!!) to build, and the quality of vape is beyond beyond. There are several out there that will fit the VV Grand and the VV Woodvil and the regular Grand....fewer that will fit the Minis without adapters.... Even the worst of them is better than the best pre-fab atty, IMHO.

I never got the hang of the HH357's. Stuck with Cisco 306's and Joye gold band 510's. Picked up a REOmizer to see what all the hoopla was about. The initial plan was put the REOmizer on my VVG and use up the stockpile of disposables on my VVW. After a couple of days with the REOmizer I ordered another one and gifted out most of my disposables.
The disposables didn't come close to producing the flavor and vapor I'm getting out of these rebuildables.

I personally won't use regular atties anymore if i can possibly help it. Even with my ineptitude in building the coils and constantly messing them up so that i have to take them off and rebuild more, the taste/flavor is so far beyond the regular atties, it's not even funny.

And I might even add, the length of time before I need to squonk again is a big plus.

You'll get all the help and advise you'll want or need when you get your first RBA...just don't ask me ....I'll only confuse the beejeebers out of you.

Well, heres my experience so far..

Ive had the ERA for a while now, and have NEVER been able to reproduce the flavor/vape of a HH357. SO, that means my ERA is in my drawer.

I am a 1 juice person. I can tell when something isnt right with the vape, and so far, all of my efforts fell flat with the ERA. (and I made some good efforts)

high desert for 15$ Phoenix/A7 Rebuildable Atomizer
you can get a spool of wire cheap on ebay and wick anywhere. its worth it

Ok.....I have 4 Cisco 1.5 bridgeless (which I love) left so I'll wait till I get down a couple and give rebuildable a try. So A REOimizor or this A7?

if you like the blind squonk the a7 is the one if you dont then go with the reomizer it vapes great plus the price on the a7 is awesome

Maybe I'll catch on to this stuff eventually. I've always been behind the times. Too old to change now.

I hear you my friend....me too. When the first came out I thought not for me because of 2 big reasons...1) my arthritis & 2) Im extremely lazy.

I have tried the Reomizer and A7 and ERA. The ERA is my favorite by far. I've learned how to make a wick/coil consistent as all get out with 32 Kanthal and cotton wick on the ERA and it's sturdy and reliable. I busted a poor Reomizer by twisting one of the posts off (my fault, not the atty's), the dang positive screw on the A7 is too darn finnicky, but the ERA has been going strong and puts up to my abuse with a smile! I had 2 at one point and foolishly traded one away, but as soon as I can fund another, I'll be rocking double ERAs for life, lol! Just my , but I thought I might share. Good luck, but I couldn't recommend rebuildables enough for the greatness that is Reoville.

Sterno and I have a difference of opinion. Respectfully, I have to side with my RBA sensei, JC Okie. Sterno's not wild about the 901 (air inlet hole on the side) style of RBA's, so he prefers the A7. I think the a7's a bit slurpy when drawing on it. I just LOVE the reomizer for nice, long, slow, luxurious drags.

I've wholeheartedly adopted Jan's cotton wick, sidewinder method for recoiling the chalice, OTOH...

While I'm not a Reonaut, I am a bottomfed user (homemade VW BF). I built a couple RCA RBAs for my box, but bought my A7 and haven't looked back at consumable atties or cartos. I especially like the solid SS construction. It is a little tall, but that doesn't detract from it's shiny. It has a cupped area that excess nicquid can be caught in, so skwonking can be reduced. I can wrap and swap a coil/wick in less than 5min. That's hella faster that waiting on the postman for another atty!
