That comment seems to come up a lot in PV threads and I'm wondering why. What sets the Provari apart from all the other mechs out there?

It isn't a mech, I have not actually said "Just get a Provari but I do recommend it".

While any device can have issues I think the Provari has fewer of them than other VV devices. It is not built like a throw away items. It seems like it was built for the long haul.

It is PWM but the cycle rate is so fast I don't think anyone can tell it is not DC. I wish I had gotten a Provari earlier and skipped twists entirely. Some vw and vv devices while having a lot of features are not very accurate, that is not an issue with a Provari.

I have bought three Provarii and am thinking about adding a mini. It is the only large device that I want and it is not as large as people seem to think. The only other devices I want will the the small ones.

You will find a lot of people disparage the Provari have never owned one. There are others that say they have but like something else better.

Two big things I like about the Provari is that it is super simple only having the features that I will use and I don't expect to have any problems. Some Provari haters come to be Provari lovers after that get to use one. There is a recent thread on that but I have seen a number of posts like that.

Nearly all the other APV's that offer variable voltage are manufactured in China. This means they typically have a shorter warranty and then offer no repair service after the warranty expires. If the mod breaks then, consider it a throwaway.

The Provari on the other hand gives you a 1 year warranty, the option at the time of purchase to get 2 years, and then even once the warranty is expired Provape will continue to service/repair your Provari for as long as you have it for pre-determined fees. Typical repair service is one week. No other variable voltage APV offers that. To some people, this doesn't matter, but to me it was a major reason for going with a Provari. It gives me piece of mind.

Provape is an American company that supports American workers and uses American parts if at all possible: http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/provape/289525-provari-made-usa.html

Here is an interesting interview with the co-founders of Provape and the makers of the Provari: The ProVape Team Interview | Spinfuel Magazine

Having used VV and VW I don't understand why it's such a hang up, I pretty much use the same ohm device no matter whether it's an RBA, atty, carto, etc. My starting voltage is always the same and I adjust up or down depending on the taste.......I did exactly the same thing with VW. I don't get how this could be a strike against Provari. VV and VW are just two difernt roads to the same destination. It's American made. If you ever have the pleasure of conversing with one of their employees you will quickly find that they are enthusiasts, this is a product made by vapers for vapers. Other than the price, I don't understand why you wouldn't want a Provari. As soon as you hold one in your hand and vape it a few times the price will seem a bargain for what you get. Besides, it's not realy the device thats expensive, it's all the shinny stuff we buy to put on top of it that gets expensive.

after buying egos and a couple clearos, I wanted something nice and sturdy I can lug around. My cousin has the mini and let me use it and I loved it. Quality you can feel and protection you need when using RBAs (rebuildable atomizers) & RDAs (rebuildable dripping atomizers). Another added bonus for me was "made in USA."

See, I knew if I came into this forum and asked the question out of a genuine interest in the PV I would get real answers unlike the why provari thread. BTW I'd never noticed the V being capitalized so I kept thinking it was italian and pronouncing it like Ferrari lol

There's a How Do You Pronounce ProVari? thread around here somewhere. I think it depends on how you say "ProVape."

PROOOOVAHHHHRIIIII - like a fine italian automobile. lol

im a fan, i have 3 one of the original chromes and two custom finished. i love them, i have a vamo and mechs too, the proV goes with me everywhere. (except fishing)

beyond the durability and warranty, the customer service is the best ever. i sent an email on xmas eve last year, not expecting a reply, just made sure to send it while i was still thinking about it. about 3 hours later _that evening_ cecilia replied! i was shocked they took time out on xmas eve to answer a stupid question. for that they have a lifelong fan.

Well I have much respect for PBusardo and when he finally got tested and reviewed the ProVari, "he said I didn't get it but now I do". I knew there was something to this ProVari. I tried another mod that lasted 10 days and started messing up (mind you it still works but it aggravates the heck out of me) I figured that after spending 85 bux and it failing on me that fast I should get something that had a better track record. I have ordered other mods and the last one should be here today. These will be for work and the ProVari will be for leisure because it's soooo good. I don't need it messed up at work. (high probability of that happening) It just works and has the same exact hit every time. I knew it would be good but you only realize how good when you have one or are privileged enough to be able to use one for an extended amount of time. So just get one (if you can afford it) then you will know what we do.

I get paying more for quality. I'm a recovering salesman and always sold high end and I remember how hard it could be to convince people that it was actually cheaper to buy something once that would last forever than to buy the cheap crap that would break over and over again. Now if only Provari would make a bottom feeder or sell the board so I could make my own I'd be a happy camper

As a fellow recovering salesperson (Xerox back in the 80s), I'll feel free to point out that you used "salesman" and "bottom feeder" in the same post... :glug: ;)

I'm with you on paying more for quality, which I why I decided to skip all the steps between POS and the ProVari. I was sold when folks on this forum said the company backs the product, and will do repairs. That's why I dropped $211 on a new Mini yesterday instead of $105 on a new eVic. I'll repost after my baby gets here and I figure out what the heck I'm doing... :D
