Yeah aal, I was looking into my cup of cappuccino wondering if I added anything funny to it.

Now. Would think it'd be even more important to have brass button body than button. Is button body brass as well and just the locking rings SS?

So if I understand right in both just GG versions the button will be same. All brass just those two rings will be SS, right?

I have a feeling that there may be an increase on SS button preorders coming up. Although personally I don't mind the brass button head, some if those that are looking for an all SS look may be looking to replace the head.
Understand that I do understand the reasoning behind this. I think that SS should have the as buttons with brass pins and brass for brass. Then those that want to swap out to preorder the opposite. My 2 cents.

yes aal. The only pieces that are not brass are the CT and the 510 connector.

Rings on button must stay SS to avoid them get dirty because if they get dirty they wouldnt get cleaned easily because they are knurled

Wellll - just a thought in case you forgot about your original heavy brass button - the finest of them all, adjustable, thick brass head and the greatest knurling of all - eheheh - You know me Imeo, I must always point out this button

Its much easier to polish than this one

Yeah I'd prefer the SS button head. The older brass was ok but this new alloy doesn't like my sweat at all. My button head (and all new alloy parts) turns very dark within a couple of days. It seems to do well as long as I don't touch it

oh, that smooth locking ring doesn't look good at all...I was thinking it might look good with the smooth CR but boy was I wrong

Yeah I didn't comment much on having a SS head for the SS version because I already have a spare SS head . But I do believe imeo should do all SS for all SS and all brass including locking ring for all brass.

New alloy is also not my cup of tea. Pure brass looked better IMHO.

Tell me about it. I have to polish my brass at least once a week. I even followed Bish's video on polishing but there's no way I can go the 3 month's like he does.

Some people will like it. No doubt. I just think SS should stay with SS and brass with brass. Then the option is on the buyer to purchase the opposite button or maybe the opposite CR to balance it off. I know some will visually see this as a spot on a mirror.

Again. Functionally I see the reasons. But visually one tiny brass button head where it's touched the most? Again. I've preordered already and happy I did. But I'm sure I'll be seeking some buttons as well.

I love the brass. I think it looks even better once it patinas a bit so I only clean the insides and threads except occasionally.

Damndest thing though, I had decided I had enough gear and was not going to get a Just GG (as much as I love the engineering) as a conscious effort to only buy juice for a while. Saw the pre-order for an "all brass" and damned if I didn't order on auto pilot Honestly Dear, this is the last one...

I love the look of the brass but have found that I can't stand the feel of the brass or the smell of it when it gets the slightest amt of patina on it...it just feels dirty and gross....now I am not the prissy type...(I have been up to the elbows in hydraulic fluid a time or two in my life) but get in-get dirty-get out. I don't want to sit and hold a stinky brass...sorry guys, honestly no offense to anyone or brass!

I would prefer SS button face on my 2 SS JustGG's if possible.

BTW: I can't tell you how many times Yankee and I have promised each other "no more gear".

I've seen a couple folks mention stinky brass but I must not have smell sensitivity for it cause I don't smell anything from my mods or my hands. Maybe sense of smell has blind spots like color blindness?
