Please don't let your beauties in that condition. I can't even look at them
Once... we were going at tobacco stores even twice a day buying cigarettes. It's not a big deal to clean our GG's once a week IMHO :(

i don't know about you, but my brand new justgg already looks very close to that in just 5 hrs of vaping... i got it today!

I wont post any more pictures so that you dont have to be offended by my GG's. I personally like the look of the tarnished brass, that's why I ordered a Brass JGG. They are not "dirty", I maintain all the threads and connections as well as wipe down the external surfaces a few times a day. What I refuse to do is remove the patina. If I were to attempt to maintain my GG's like dspin I would be polishing more than I would be vaping. I didn't buy these to sit in a case or on the shelf. They are used constantly and as such, I feel they deserve to look like they are used lovingly.

And just an FYI, my JGG looked like this less than 24 hours after opening the box.

I think I knew that...hope I didn't say otherwise
From what I remember, the button head, and the stealth caps were the first to come out with the new alloy. jgg is the first tele made with it, isn't it?
btw I use Renaissance wax on the TB to maintain the color. Works pretty good.

GGTS and stealth with the horizontal engraving right before the justGG came with the new alloy for all parts. venting cap, telescope, rethreader etc...

Patina on old brass nice...Patina on new brass .... not so much

I like the looks of both, but as I don't have an option, I will take what is available. :)

When the new brass starts to tarnish, it is dull and somewhat unattractive. But after a few weeks it will naturally develop a bit of shine to it, and for me, that's when it becomes really attractive. I just haven't had the JGG long enough to get to that point.

Pictures really don't bring that out, at least none that I have the skills to take. But holding it in my hand I can see it.

Probably Ι think you are a little excessive my friend. :)

Some people like myself and Rivernut have very extreme and rapid reactions with the new brass alloy. It is very likely that vap0r88 does as well. When I picked mine up from the post office, I could see the patina start before I finished the 4 minute drive back to my home (of course I opened the box in my truck as soon as I had my hands on it).

I'm not offended at all Darkreign.
But I can't explain the reason that my all day brass JGG becomes like yours in a week and no earlier:confused:

If you would like I can polish up my old GGTS brass extension tube and photo-document the transition from fully polished to this state. it all has to do with body chemistry and how the brass reacts to it.

I don't know my friend.
I just wrote what is happening with my JGG.
I don't want to refute or to insult anyone

No worries. I was planning to do this a couple of months ago for Yankeebobo and I got caught up with work and it slipped my mind. I will see if I can free up some time tomorrow to polish a section up and install it on my JGG and we can watch it together. It will be like we are watching a horror film together.

To my opinion this will happen worse for some people than others. Thats because the brass is mixed with aluminum. Some people's body chemistry doesn't go well with aluminum. This isnt because of poor metal, its because of a persons own unique chemistry.

The aluminum ggts from yrs ago - thats why Imeo quit making them - Some people complained that they darkened right away or spot darkened where their skin touched it. Others it took awhile if it was going to happen.

Some people like me can handle them and nothing happens. It just depends on the person.

I do not have the brass JGG but I would assume it is AWESOME in hit over the SS version.

new brass alloy on justGG contacts is super conductive vap and it hasnt the problems of plated surfaces that will be ruined very soon. Also the side button give you the ability to push justGG harder than any front button mod, something that gives you even more conductivity.

Also, if you bypass spring then you will have even better contuctivity but I dont really suggest that. Mods like Nemesis or any other mod out there without a spring are not very safe in case of a short. Conductivity is not our first priority, safety is. But justGG have both of them.

I am very glad that you received and already run your justGG and I wish you a very pleasant vapinggg time :)
my brass justGG just arrived. worked perfect straight out of the bubble wrap. with a 18650 battery it was up and running in seconds.
i was quite surprised at how light it really is. - it seems to hit much harder than my nemesis.
(but I will test again after i clean up the nemesis and all the contacts)

it came with 2x large and 2x small O-rings and a extra SS button switch. is there anything i am missing?
is there supposed to be a 'softer' spring?

also...

3Vw02Nz.jpg

not to post too many photos but the brass is tarnished all over... i haven't had a brass mod before.
can i clean with toothpaste and brush and put all the parts into the sonic cleaner?

or will i have to get special brass cleaner...

Yes... I realized that spin!!
And YES... brass JGG has excellent conductance but no big difference from SS because as we know, SS has brass axis, button pin, and center pin.

Yes my friend I knew you knew. I posted that for others that would think there was something wrong with Imeo's metal. It's just their own chemistry doing it.

thats true Dark. Brass becomes dark but after 1-2 weeks it comes lighter in colour and shinier
