Even if you used both eVic's simultaneously, you would have had to used them non stop for 17 hours a day. The release date was 12/12/2012. It takes time to ship from China, so it would have been difficult to have have them in your hands on that date. I assume you kept them on pass though the entire time.

Edit: I assume you also drink lots, and lots of coffee.

I think it works out as one hundred and eight thousand, ten second vapes - the puff counter doesn't even go up that far:laugh:

I think you'd need a little funeral after that too.
My Provari has been functioning perfectly since September, despite dropping it about 25 times.

I really do think the Evic is a decent bit of kit, it looks really fantastic with a bit of aftermarket steel screwed on to it;

Who sells the aftermarket steel? I really like the look you have going there. Wouldn't mind getting some "Armor for my eVic".

It's a Kir Fanis mod, don't have a set myself but I'm on the list for one.
There's a list a Vaporwall and UKVapers.

There's the bOd Evic telecope and SIAM mods version too.

He undoubtedly keeps the ejuice vendors happy too! With one eVic in each hand all day, I wonder what he does when he has to to to the bathroom?:laugh:

Provari boards are custom made in the USA as are all the components that are still made in America - the rest come from China, etc. Everything is then assembled in Washington.
Redundant. I said outsourced not made in XXX. Nothing was posted as a negative reflection on Provape, simply a fact that no matter how careful any process is done, things can and do happen.big-headache-smiley-emoticon.jpg

Absolutely agree with you on this - nothing is infallible!
However I must state that the Provari is one of the most - if not the most reliable mod you can buy.
You do pay a premium price for this but it's a great mod.

So the fact you have to press the button to check the charge and resistance makes the Provari belong to the Dinosaur age? What did people do before they could see the resistance of the device they were using?:facepalm:
Ad hominem ... cherrypicking out of context.

As far as 1500 hours of usage is concerned, sorry there's no way unless you didn't sleep and you got your Evics 2 months before they appeared on the shelves.
Simple math ... I had to add it up, the figure didn't just arrive in my head out of thin air.

My Provari has performed flawlessly and my Evic works very nicely so far also - no need to cast aspersions as to the performance of the Provari just because you had a problem with yours, the fact the you can't see resistance and battery charge at a glance doesn't make it antiquated by any means either.
You are not reading my posts right but twisting them out of context. No aspersions have been cast, facts of occurrence stated. The instant glance and ability to detect partial shorts in real time is a capability of the eVic that I cannot execute in all practicality with any other APV device.

Different strokes for different folks.
Never intended any different.

Even if you used both eVic's simultaneously, you would have had to used them non stop for 17 hours a day.
Longer.

Ahh Pooh - Got lost looking at all the pretty pictures.
Who's turn is it now, Pete or Repeat? LoL_Smiley.jpg

Seriously though, It's all been in fun on my end. I respect anyone's choice in what they want in life, it's their life. I just don't apreciate people bashing something simply because it is not for them. I'm talking almost everything in life not just mods.
Personal preference is just that.:)

I forgot to mention the replacement tubes and top caps Joyetech are now manufacturing, they come in black, white and chrome;

There is also a German steel set which is licensed by Joyetech;

I guess if the Chinese suss there's some money to be made, you'll see a slew of different tube and top cap designs - something that I think will be interesting.

Will then, Not that I'm buying it but I suppose I should apologize. I am surprised you have never made any mention of yours until now.
I did run across a picture of you and your Provari. Nice device. I can also now see why you may feel the eVic is a cheaper device.
At 130lbs(me not the eVic) the eVic doesn't feel cheap to me and after 35 years of working with and watching electronics evolve I simply see a more advanced device. More of a large Flat screen vs. a Console TV if you get my drift.

It's no worries man. Just stating that its cheaply made. If someone doesn't like my opinion (it is mine after all) then I am sorry.

I like the idea of the Provari, but I might buy an eVic kit just to get started. I have never used a tank system before, and want to make sure it is for me.

Here is my noob question, do they use the same threading for tanks/cartos? Are they 510 thread? Sorry for the silly question, I have been reading all day and it gets difficult to find information sometimes. Thanks!

Yes, the eVic is 510 threaded. If you're afraid to put too much money into finding if a tank system is for you, the Vamo is cheaper, and I feel a better choice.
