Just got lectured by Security guy at airport to quit my E-Cig...

What the heck? When the TSA guy saw my e-cig in my purse he knew what it was but he felt the need to lecture me telling me I should quit vaping. Said he quit analogs cold turkey 27 years ago and I should too. Ugh. I'm just so happy I have been 5 weeks now without an analog! I felt really stupid being pulled out of the line and spoken to like a 5-year-old. Can anyone say "NONE OF YOUR FREAKING BUSINESS!!!". Geez...

That sort of comment from a TSA agent is unprofessional. I'm sure it was made with the best of intentions but it's out of line. You can file a complaint with the TSA supervisor if you wish.

I posted about this a while ago. Some people just don't get it. It's almost as if people think we all hate vaping and if only we had the intestinal fortitude and bronze iron strength to quit cold turkey just like they did we wouldn't have to succumb to this horrible affliction called vaping. Like it's somehow ruining our lives and if only we could give it up everything would be SOOOO much better.

Ummmmm I love it, and probably always will. What now?

For some people, the superiority complex they achieve by quitting when most others fail is far more addictive than the cigarettes were.
Not much of a surprise to find someone like that working for the TSA.

Make him feel special for quitting cold turkey next time and ask him for his autograph. That's all he was trying to do, trying to make himself feel superior. It certainly wasn't concern over your health, he never saw you before in his life, right?

ive flown a lot, and from my experience, its best to just nod and let these people have their way. its not worth getting your device confiscated and getting in trouble at an airport is the worst of all places whether warranted or not.
