Well, my PV just came in the mail, luckily it was fully charged when it got here so I was able to test it out. I ordered 10ml of the AV RY4 and 5ml of AV's regular bacco flavor, both 18% nic.

I made sure I held the vapor in my cheeks before inhaling, and you know....I about died lol. It hurt. It hurt bad, and I got dizzy, as if smoking an analog for the first time. My chest felt heavy and it burned for a little bit. I'm guessing that either my juice's PG/VG is not 50/50 and it makes the TH pretty harsh, or I just need to get used to it. The flavor...it's different. I'm not sure I get a caramel/vanilla flavor, but I definitely taste a cigar taste at the end of the draw.

So, is this all normal? Do I just need to get used to it?

Oh, and I'm trying the warm water quick steep on the RY4....we'll see if it get's any better with age.

Sounds about normal, you'll get used to how much to vape and it'll get better. RY4 is different from every place I've gotten it so what you have will taste a little different than what you might get from some other place. Flavor is so individual you'll just have to experiment some. I have found that the RY4 mixes with just about everything so I use it for that a lot. Saw your earlier post, if you haven't already, order more juice, now! You do not want to run out. Get plenty of variety, you'll want to change it up some. Some people find the ADV, I have not yet so be prepared. Good luck and enjoy.

I got the ego c a couple of months ago and I love it. I'm new to vaping so I'm just learning. I like menthol flavor. I don't know the flavors you got and I just inhale when I draw I don't hold it in my cheeks. I did not experience any of the things you did my first time. I did get a little headache though, maybe a coincidence. However, I only smoked 4-5 cigs a day and when I got my ecig I was puffing the crap out of it so it may have been that I was taking in more nicotine than I was used to.

If this is the first time your vaping, you may be experiencing a slight allergy to PG. My buddy realized he had allergies to PG once he switched to 100% VG juices. From what I have read, its not a life threatening allergy, but it can irritate and burn like acid reflux. Or maybe the Nic level was too high? Once I dropped my nic levels, I'm not able to smoke 18-24mg juice without getting a little dizzy after 20 minutes.

I think my issue is the PG/VG percentage. I'm apparently a big sissy and need something with low PG and high VG or just VG alone. I may end up cutting my nic down to 1.2% as well, however I was doing 1.8% out of my lotus 808. Lotus uses low PG and a high VG content according to customer service, and I loved how they vaped, so I will go ahead and order my lot of juice now that I know what I may need. I'm just going to get 10-10ml small bottles until I can find a juice worth getting in large quantities.

Anyways, Thank you for all the help!

One thing I like to recommend to new vapers is to order sample packs of juice from multiple vendors. This gets you 5-6 ML bottles of lots of flavors to try. Then later you can reorder in larger sizes those you like.

Also be aware that Brand X strawberry is not the same as brand Y strawberry. You might like it from one vendor and not another.

Juice changes with a little aging (much like wine) those juices you didn't like right off might well age (steep) into something you do like in a few weeks.

Finally your tastes will change. Both because of your returning sense of smell and taste and because what you want out of a juice changes. When I started I really thought tobacco juice was what I wanted. Turns out its fruits I love. Order samples of some things you can't imagine wanting you might surprise yourself.

Yes, I put it immediately on the charger, the light was red, but it quickly turned green in a matter of 10 minutes.

Myrany- The sample kits are a great idea!! I really didn't think of that, I seen them, but passed them up because $25.00 for 4 juice flavors is kind of steep. Then again, every vendor has different pricing. I will look around at a few vendors and see what I can get my hands on. Thank you!!

Welcome aboard! Im sending well wishes out to you for shortly realizing theres NO Need to go near an analog again!
It all starts with getting the right satisfaction (taste, throat hit, nic.level) from the vape.
Check out this InfoZone (if you havent already)...and Im adding my 2c as well for some sampler packs of eJuice.
All the best..I am SO HAPPY to hear you're doing well!

Cost varies alot from one vendor to another here is an example of a cheaper one

E-Liquid - Sample E-Liquid - MyFreedomSmokes.com

Let me add one more thing. What costs more throwing out 9 ML of something you hate or 3 ML ;) Samplers let you try lots of things with less risk.

I agree Myrany, I would rather start small and work myself up as I gain more knowledge. Starting at the top only means that eventually you have to come back down to the bottom for a bit lol. I'm also going to order several PG/VG percentages and I'm going to drop the nic to 12% and 6% or lower to see which one I like the best. Having all these choices is a headache though, especially when your just starting out. I'm also going to order an Evod tank to try with the 510 adapter since it doesn't thread onto a 510, which I thought all ego's were....I have a 510 threaded Ego CE battery. I don't lke the looks of the protank, I want something colorful lol, but something I can put plastic eating juices in without worry. I have the CE4 and CE5 clearo's on mine right now.

As far as I know all Egos have both 510 AND ego threading. the 510 is the hole in the center with the threading inside it. The ego threading is on the OUTSIDE.

I have a protank and I do enjoy mine but it seems to be a love or hate thing with many people. Either you love it and it works well or you hate it. Not many in the middle. Protank works well for me because I use thicker higher in VG juices (60/40 or 50/50). A protank has the heating coils and wicks on the bottom of the tank so I don't have to tip and twirl it to get the thick liquid to the top where a top coil has its wicks (Vivi nova is a top coil for example).

This is all more complicated stuff to worry about going forward. Don't overwhelm yourself too much while just starting. :) I am always happy to help however I can but I do advocate taking your time and doing things at your own pace.

Did u try to charge ur ego when you first got it? They usually come 20-30% charged and its a good idea to charge it up fully before draining it. I bet youll enjoy your great new hobby and passion. ENJOY the vape journey!

See that's what I thought. That's what I did I have a 900 mah and I got 6 hrs on my second days use.
also there is no indication when the batt gets low. The light blinks and batt dies

My ego-c batterys the button turns blue when it is at 20%. Then it blinks at me when it is dead. My knockoff ego batterys the button is always blue and there is no 20% indication at all it just blinks at me when its dead. So what you get is a bit dependent on which ego style battery you have.

The mah is a rough estimate of battery life. 900 is an estimated 9 hours. If you are hitting it pretty hard and constantly 6 hours wouldn't be that unusual.

Edit: I live in hurricane country so the ability to make it for up to a week without power is no joke. I did my homework on batterys LOL

Sampler packs and samples you get from vendors when you order from them is a great way to pick out those you like from different vendors. When I first started I figured that a juice by name was always the same but learned quickly that is not always true. RY4 for example is one of my first loves but the one I love only comes from one vendor - RY4 from other places is just not quite the same. It was my first major learning experience on just how much a recipe can vary in the final outcome. Just like a chocolate chip cookie - same things go into it in most cases, but they taste different from baker to baker.

As to the act of vaping itself, I don't think there is any right way that someone can tell you to vape. What is right is what works for you, so don't worry about adjusting your vaping to what works for you even if others do it differently.

Sample kits are great. They can seem kinda expensive considering there are bound to be flavors you don't like. However, how are you going to find what you do like, and who wants to buy the larger bottles of stuff you'll never finish later on. Many sites will throw in a sampler every time you order. My Freedom Smokes comes to mind. I've tried their samplers and they are excellent. Juice is so subjective, you can fool around a long time before you find IT. However, once you find an all day vape flavor, your world just got much larger and you can then test at your leisure and budget. Vape on! Welcome to the forum and good luck.
