I think if the battery dies without the warning flashes, and you can't turn it on with 5 presses, you should contact customer service and see what they say. they might want you to send it back for a replacement. but the charging sounds normal, usually it's solid red when you first plug it in, and then as it get closer to fully charged the blue light starts flashing, first slowly, then as it gets even closer to fully charged, faster. so it might look purple if the blue light flashes fast enough.

So.... this is just frustrating

I woke up this morning, took one hit, halfway through the drag the batt died, no warning.
So I switch batts, same exact thing, dies mid drag no warning.

I charge one for, about 2 hours, the light went blue, so I let it sit an extra half hour. Pull it from the charger set everything up, and bam, no power. I guess they are just defective.... so now I'm stuck with no possibility of vaping, and no analogs in the house, and I dont want to go buy a pack because that kind of defeats the purpose. Really frustrated about the batts and the nic fit is just making it worse.

I keep trying their customer service but I can't seem to get any help... I mean how busy could they be a 1:00 on a tuesday.

Change your coil. Or try a different tank. Sounds like you might have a short in that one coil. I had the same problem, thought it was a bad battery turned out to be a bad coil.

I finally got through to customer service (the online chat) but..... I don't know how helpful this guy is being. Trying to tell me I don't know how to turn it on (Really?!? I have to hit the button 5 times... how do you think I turned it on the first time?) .... and he takes like 20 minutes between each answer.

Penguins, sorry to hear of your problems.

so if you hit the unattached battery button, you get no light?

Try pushing it quick SIX times, and then hold it; still no light?

What happens if you put it on the charger? Any light? and what light does the charger show?

And this is a Triton regular bat?

So I put them back on the charger for two seconds and they work just fine.... until I put them into a certain tank, then they go kaput again....

So... I put it on the charger for a split second, the light blinks, I pull it off, screw it into my tank with prime and its all fine and it works, I turn it off unscrew it and put it into my other tank with menthol ice, it wont turn on now. I unscrew it, still won;t turn on. Put it in the charger for a second, undo it, and it works again.... So apparently the problem is that tank but I'm not allowed to return it... (because it is a consumable)

I am so  mad  right now, it took 4 days for it to break...

So I get a defective product, they won't replace it, so now I'm stuck with one tank... i could buy more, but then what, that tank is broken too and they won't replace that one either.

Also, what kind of place makes you pay return shipping for giving you a defective item.....

I guess I will PM Cinder and see if they will send me a new tank for free or take it all back and give me my money back....

This is just so ridiculous,

If the tank has a short, the regular triton battery usually blinks like 3 times. At least my 650mAh regular Triton battery does. Then, soon as the short is gone, the battery fires fine.

Just asking, you are always tightening the tanks or the charger to "just snug"? You should be able to loosen it with one hand. If you tighten it too far, that might be a problem.

I would drain the tank. Then take the coil head off the tank. Then take the headless tank onto a battery and see if you get a steady light. If so, then that tank is fine, just replace the head.

At least you have one working!! That's why we stress to always have backups.

Relax, it's a $7 tank or a $2.50 coil head. I have 6 or 7 of them, and not a lick of trouble, other than the known old style tips that break.

Yes, always snug, never to tight, I always checked to see if there was liquid in the battery.

And yeah, they are replaceable, but whose to say the one I buy won't be broken as well... I'm to scared to order anything else from them now.

The batts work just fine in one tank, but as soon as they make contact with the "broken" tank they will not turn on unless I put them back on the charger. They blink 6 times when I plug them into the wall, and 6 times when I unscrew them from the charger, other than that I get no blinking lights. I PM'd Cinder, as you guys have suggested... but I feel like it is just a lost cause

It sounds to me like you've already got your mind made up that the whole company is a lost cause and nothing anyone says or does will change it. It does suck that you've just started and had a problem so quickly, but if you've already got your mind made up nothing is going to make you happy. Just my .02

If you have one tank that works, but the other doesn't it sound like you have a bad coil. If you can, buy a new coil and switch it out. I had a bad coil and thought it was the battery also. Try a smoke shop that sells halo stuff. You shouldn't pay more than 4 bucks for a new coil. Don't write them off yet.

THANK YOU!!!!

I'm sorry about all the ranting and raving earlier   , it was a combination of my frustration, ignorance (the dictionary definition of ignorance), and my (nic fit).... After all the help you guys gave me I discovered it was a bad coil, and after doing some more digging, I realized it was most likely something I did  . Thanks for the help, and not treating me like I was some kind of cynic.

Although the customer service was downright deplorable, I didn't really now how to explain my issue to them, but you guys gave me enough advice I was able to break it down to the one problem... the coil

Apparently it is "shorted" or something along those lines. The battery will work with the tank on, but the addition of the coil shuts it down....

I am very glad I kept my cool and stayed civil with my PM to cinder, and I have sent her a PM explaining my frustration and apologized for the inconvenience of her reading my exceptionally long PM I sent her in the first place. I would like to apologize to everyone once again, and I WILL be ordering more coils, and some "backups" for all of the other gear.

Thanks again for the help... Dave and Rich hit my problems right on the head. And again, sorry about the frustration... it was a direct result of my Ignorance... I suppose we do learn something everyday. Cheers everybody :toast: , and as for me I am back to :vapor:

Just loaded up some sub-zero... MY FAVORITE YET, and I tried all menthol besides KC and HX3 (which I guess is menthol even though it came in the tobacco sampler.) The HX3 smells downright foul, and I'm not big on peppermint but I think I will like KC every now and then...

Also, Prime 15 , tastes and smells like moldy shoe leather, even after steeping.
