Welcome back, Genghis! Good luck this time! I too have the same story! I started back in 2009 with a cig-alike but failed back then. I started back in July this year and have been analog free since!! Good luck to you! Things are so much better now! I think 5 posts and your good to go! [/URL]

Thanks Harleybarbie! Looks like I do have to do 5 posts here. :)

I'm actually taking a different approach this time around. I'm not quitting smoking regular anologs. <Wait! Did he just write that!?> This is just my approach and everyone is different, but I've found that, for me, saying that I am quitting smoking puts too much pressure on me and then I get cranky and moody. At least that has been my experience in the past. So this time, I am going with the, "I am supplementing my smoking habit" approach. I'm normally a pack a day smoker and I found that since I picked up the "starter" kit, I've tinkered and upgraded a bunch in 1.5 months, but I've also started to lower my analog intake. I think it was down to half a pack within days, and now it's probably been about 3-4 regular analogs during this last week. And what I've found so far, is that each time I get the urge to have a regular cigarette, I just have one, but I realize that they are starting to taste pretty bad and I go back to my e-cig.

This has been a good approach for me so far, with a lot less pressure put on me for "quitting". Who knows where this will go for me, but as of now, I'm pretty happy with the results.

I've been vaping for about 4 months and still feel like smoking a analog

I think, for some people, that random urge will never go away completely. But I find that if I distract myself with other activities or start thinking of things I HAVE to do, the urge is pushed to the back of my mind fairly quickly. Also thinking about the tar and other various bad things in analogs helps a little as well.

Just take one drag off a friends analog and those urges will immediately go away. After quiting I struggled mostly when around friends that were smoking so bummed one off a budy. Lit it and took a drag. Coughed like crazy for a few minutes and threw it out. Not one craving since. Ugh they taste like crap after a few months without one. Yuk!
