That's an interesting idea, Rick. I've long wondered about the mechanics of these 'nose hits' I've heard about. At least I can understand this idea.

When I first started smoking, many years ago, I would gently push the smoke out of my mouth and inhale it into my nose. I did this because I thought it looked cool. In this decade of my life I'm more into apathy than cool. ;)

Isn't that what's known as a french inhale? Draw smoke into mouth, open mouth and suck smoke from mouth into the nose?

Oh and so far so good. I've been mostly just drawing through the nose but now that I'm at the 48 hour mark I'm just drawing lightly into my mouth here and there and not nearly as often as I normally do. I am just so scared of a dry socket after having one I never want one again. I don't know what was worse, the pain or the taste of that nasty stuff they pack in the socket!

for future reference on this subject… as mentioned, the sucking motion (like when doing a mouth to lung pull) is what causes dry socket. If you do lung inhales (breathe in normally but with your mod firing), you aren't doing that motion. If it were an issue, your dentist would've said not to breath through your mouth to prevent dry socket.

I had a wisdom tooth pulled a few months back and vaped as I left the dentist with no issues. I just drank a lot of water to keep my mouth from getting too dry.

One of the things I missed about smoking was the pull off the cigarette. None of my vapes require a pull. In fact, they don't perform properly if pulled. I get as much fog in a two second pull as others get in a tenner, because I don't really pull.
I've always smoked right after dental work of any kind, without any problems except the awkwardness of finding that one less numb position lol. Vaping a good evod (or whatever) would be a cinch for me. Good luck to you.

I had a tooth extracted today, and have been munching goofballs and vaping all day. I have an IgoW with a CIA cap that has huge Airholes and a wide bore tip, so it is just a matter of putting it to my lips and breathing normally, though. I don't even close my mouth around it and still get a decent vape. I wouldn't be using my Russian or something like that, though.

I figure as long as I make sure not to get the dry mouth, it might even help since the PG will act as a disinfectant for the gaping wound in my jaw.

I'm feeling back to normal and never got a dry socket or anything! Good luck KYrob and iacchus, be careful and take it easy!

Thanks erikbal! Glad it went right for you.

So far so good here. My only issue was getting woozy from all the nicotine and painkillers on an empty stomach. Tried to eat some yogurt, but my darned mouth hurt too much to open decently.

Much better today, though. I hope to be healed up as well soon.
