Yet another hemp I too just saw on another thread. I'm getting some to try. It says "de-gummed", hmm? Would that help eliminate the off-taste.

I tried some of the organic hemp and it was almost like bark and did not wick very well. There seems to be difference between organic and organic grown hemp. This source has a lot of selections to try.

This may have been stated before but I read that the purest hemp is made outside the US.
Update to my previous post in this thread (#9).
Compared to cotton, it took around 20+ more draws to get the hemp flavor to go away. This could have been due to the fact the hemp was only boiled once for approximately 10 minutes without changing the water. Now that the flavor has gone away, I prefer the hemp over rolled cotton. As others have noted, hemp gives notice much sooner of a dry wick/dry hit, and if you do happen to pull a dry hit, the hemp doesn't burn as quickly.

I would have thought once it was gummed it would be impossible to degumm it. Just saying, Dad gummit. LOL
Good, That's all I needed. This should make a great dripping wick and I hope to fit it vertically into the genesis style tank as well.

Got a few more A7s, wicked this one with 2mm hemp, 30g oval 2.8 ohm coil.

I did as well, last night and got a shipping notice today. They were out of the 2mm and I didn't want to risk another vendor having something untested, so I went with the 1mm. Should be here Friday. I'm really interested in this as a wicking material. Seems like a natural, in more ways than one.

I'm pretty sure the hemp I bought a while back from Hobby Lobby was of the wrong variety....So I give the 2mm stuff from Amazon a shot.
