On my lab tests the 12 strand hemp twine wicked "capillary action" better than any other wick and that included your yarn, silica, cotton, and SS.

Just got my ball of rawganique's TW12B400 12 ply, 400 foot, Fine Hemp Twine...

Now I just need to pull off 50 feet or so and get to boiling :D

Gonna make the first test on my IGO-L, and if that works, I'm thinking of using it on my AGA-T+ either alone, or as a flavor wick alongside the wire mesh...

Any suggestions?

Great, when you get it wash it between your fingers with dish detergent and then boil it twice. The longer you boil the softer it gets. I do two 20 minute boils and when it is dry I work it with my fingers to get it soft. Some are boiling up to 2 hours and say that removes any flavor the hemp may give. Since I only use tobaccos, I kind of like the flavor if any, hemp gives. The main advantage over the yarn is durability.

Nice, yeah I'm a tobacco flavor guy as well.. I've enjoyed the flavor of some cottons before, I imagine hemp would be similar - I will do the detergent + 2x 20min boils like you said.
Very eager to try - thanks!

I use it on the IGO-l and it is great. Have never gotten an organic wick to satisfy me on a gennie, to much hassle. I do use a hemp flavor wick on all my white ceramic wicks on the gennies. Quit SS mesh a few months back.

Yeah. My IGO-L actually came with a 2.2 ohm coil and a hemp wick prebuilt and installed! I was instantly a fan-boy!!!
AND I've been using it for about 3 weeks off and on, and it's still going strong!
I keep it wet, but there's no signs of burning, and the flavor is still great!

How/where do you place the flavor wick on your gennies?

Have any pictures?!?

Tempted to order but shipping is a bit pricey to the US.. Maybe I'll just use this hemp cotton yarn for the time being.. I've been spending too much money lately!

Yeah, the shipping is a bit rough, but that should be just about enough wick to last me until the apocalypse

Yeah that's true! I mean, I've spent way more than that on silica already! 200 feet is definitely a lot! Still it'd be under $20, not bad.

Hmm, maybe I'll order it.. I would do the cheapest option but then it might take 5 weeks! If I were to do that I may as well wait for Vanessa to stock it.

Where can one acquire the white ceramic wicks? Thx

Well yesterday I washed then boiled about 20 feet of my 12 strand 2mm hemp for about 14 hours...
Changed the water twice, the last boil the water was still clear when I turned off the flame, covered it up and left it till this morning...
It's hanging up to dry now.

Once dry it SHOULD be about as ready as it can get... I hope! :D

so far I'm having better luck with minicoils + hemp wicks... internal diameters around 2-2.5mm seem to get the best of the two worlds, while smaller coils (proper microcoils, 1.5mm ID or less) only allow me to stuff one 1mm twine inside, and that can't cope up with my triplets

micro coil + hemp wicks = best vape experience I had so far.
