^I emailed Vanessa like a month ago and no reply =\, I've been trying to get that hemp since this thread was 30 pages but have't had any luck. Hopefully she restocks on it soon so i can order.

She sent me a sample Mon. I should have it in a few days and she will probably put it on her web site next week.:)

does anyone know why my kanger pro and pro tank 2 is spiting gurgling and leaking through the bottom connection? boath are 1.1 ohms using hemp.

Try more hemp for a tighter fit. If not thru the coil add a flavor wick. IMO if it leaks, juice is flowing in, and not wicking in. To be honest all my bccs gurgle and spit occasionally and I remove them and blow then out. Sometimes I raise the V/W to clear it.

thanks bj43, i doubled a piece of hemp and pulled it threw the mini coil and it works great, a tiny bit of dew on the gg's 510 but it did that before, did the same on the protank 2 but i think the extra flavor wick was just a little to much (doesn't wick as well) wicks good but not as good as without it.:toast:

The hemp has a tendency to swell because it's so efficient at wicking...
When using it as a flavor wick in Kanger or iSmoka style BCC coils I usually wind up removing strands till it's around a 7 to 9 ply for the flavor wick in order to get good draw...

IF the hemp has been well boiled, it's an easy matter to untwist the short flavor wick part so you basically have a bundle of straight strands lieing along the top of the coil...

The advantage of this is that you can let it get soaked, and vape... If the draw is too tight it's a simple matter to remove the base, take a pair of tweezers and pull a strand or two straight out... Reassemble and try again... repeating this process till you get a good balance between draw and zero leaking...

It works for me!

@ VV_James, you are getting good at this.....:toast:

Thanks! I been getting a lot of practice...
Once I got my 1st working coil, it's become somewhat of an obsession...

Currently, I'm just having a lot of fun with it! The balance you get with a SS Mesh wick and a Hemp flavor wick, is nothing short of amazing!

I have a new FOGGER Bottom Coil RBA Tank that's designed for a SS Mesh bottom coil...

The factory wick is fine, but the coil sucks! I'm going to recoil it this weekend... Been watching YouTube tutorials, and will be trying for my first 28 AGA 12 wrap ~1.8 ohm micro coil, topped, of course, with a hemp flavor wick!

If it works without leaking it should be amazing!

I'll post a video of it after I get it working :D

I got some Innokin 16s and had not figured out how to recoil them with hemp. After a few tries I finally got it working good. I used a doubled piece of 1mm hemp for the 7 wrap 30g coil. It goes in vertically, pos wire to the bottom between the center post and the grommet. The neg wire wrapped between two of the wick slots. I used a small piece of 2mm hemp as a flavor wick in the long slots. When I inserted the vertical wick I pushed the flavor wick to one side.
7 wrap 30g coil on doubled 1mm hemp.

Coil inserted vertically. Flavor wick contacts side of coil. Neg wire wrapped around two slots

2.1 ohms after deducting .3 for the meter.

Ready to use.
So need a video or a bunch more pics...nice rebuild by the way!

Silly question...that's a dual core correct but you only show one winding

I have an iClear 30, but have not used it yet, much less tore it apart to see how it's coiled...
Interesting build!

Been at this for almost 5 years. Have made countless wicks and coils with just about every material out there and some I do not even want to think of. To get a great setup is a little talent, some work, and a lot of luck. For a very simple setup that gives just about anything else a run for the money. A standard Evod with the flavor wick replaced with a hemp flavor wick on a VV ego at 3.8 to 4v. For hassle free this is hard to beat. In my hundreds of setups, only a few beat this.

Hey, a neighbor ;)

I suppose the hemp won't be damaged by the pressure cooker, I'm just wondering whether the (mostly) steam can wash away the hemp taste the same way hard boling does...

It's a great idea though, hope it works.

So I'll give it a try, just ordered Hemp Twine Cord 2mm 12 strand. Do you think boiling it in a pressure coker is a good idea to speed up, or will I end up with a hemp soup?

Sorry for grammar and spelling - German - out of school since toidy years.
