"You can actually find homemade pierogies in the restaurants up there"

Excuse me for jumping in on your conversation but…homemade pierogies made my jaw drop! I've been craving them for months. Thinking I may just have to attempt making them myself.

I was born in Pennsylvania, the best pierogies where the ones the little old ladies made and sold at Church.....

Different strokes and all. I love the culture, especially the ethnic culture available there. I am half Polish, half Italian and both cultures have a good presence there. You can actually find homemade pierogies in the restaurants up there, where down here Mrs T's is as close as it gets! I love the several Chinatowns, the Museums, the shopping, and of course the hustle and bustle of Manhattan. I really do love a lot about the city.

But I also like my elbow room. Where I live now I have a 3300 sq ft home on a half acre lot, in an upper middle-class neighborhood where I seldom feel the need to lock my doors, and my mortgage is only $600 a month. To match that same standard of living up there I would have to make at least 4 times what I make now.

Everything in life is a trade-off.........

what?????? half italian and no mention of canal street and arthur avenue (bronx)?

Been there. Excellent. But my daughter and nephew have insisted we will not go to any chains. Just single restaurants and chefs they like in NYC. Both are steak lovers. When they were young and we traveled around the world I always looked for the best meat and now they do the same. I am real curious of where they are going to take me. For years as a sugar broker I traveled often to NYC and hit most of the top ten. When I mentioned some to them they first frowned shook there heads and smiled. It should be fun.:)
There's hundreds of Steak Houses in NYC, lots are good, Where do they live BJ?

The best thing I remember about little Italy was some cigar lounge laden with testosterone! 3 little Indians or something like that. If they liked you they invited you upstairs to the ultimate man cave!

Oh, and I bought plenty of first quality "genuine" designer bags on Canal St for various lady friends ;)

Hey everyone, just wanted to let everyone know, that I have started the Just Ramie thread. After several excellent builds, postings and consideration, felt Ramie did indeed deserve it's own thread, inspired by everyone here, so just had to do it. Hope you all don't mind, just trying to pay it forward, and didn't want Ramie to get lost in the shuffle. lol

Thanks again BJ, Bap, and everyone, for inspiring me on many vaper fronts, great fiber for wicking.

Tibs! You know Arthur Ave? Have you been to Michaelangelo’s?

'Little Italy' is just an extension of China Town except for some Italian restaurants still around these days, a far cry from 25 - 30 years ago, I can also get ya a 'genuine' Rolex there if ya want

what a pity - used to drive down to canal street around 4am for shrimp fra diavlo. club hopping always created a healthy appetite :D

Sure, great sauce there too, go there whenever I go see the Yanks

It is a pity, used to be a bunch of great mid priced Italian family restaurants

I make seperate coils, and then hold them side by side using two 16g needles and twist the ends together. I will try to remember to take a pic when I set up a TGT in a little bit.

Hi Bap and BJ - I made dual 30ga. coils for TGT (as per above method) and wicked with Rami. Flavor is ok but vapor production is low from 10 watts all the way to 25 watts. Did you modify your air hole larger? I can only think that low vapor is due to not enough air thru the stock hole or I am doing something else wrong. No dry hits just low vapor. Any suggestions?
