Have a great time in NY BJ, I miss the autumn, winter, and wind, which we have none of here lol. One thing is for sure, a few breaths of NYC air is certainly more lethal than a 60 watt 15 second double lung inhale of RY1!!!

ah, but the pleasure derived! ;)

make sure you give nyc our best, bj!

And which 5 did you pick?

Don't know, I have been invited by my daughter and a nephew. Combined they earn in a year more than I have saved in a lifetime and both own apartments overlooking the park. So I will have to trust their choices. Nice getting old and reaping some benefits,,,:D

Btw PM me your address.

I am envious. I love the Big Apple. GREAT place to visit, but I would hate to have to scratch out a lifestyle there.

Keep us posted, I expect a log.......

IDK about that, born & raised here, & still in love with NYC, as for Steak Houses, 'Old Homestead' (9th ave &14th street) is my favorite.

Been there. Excellent. But my daughter and nephew have insisted we will not go to any chains. Just single restaurants and chefs they like in NYC. Both are steak lovers. When they were young and we traveled around the world I always looked for the best meat and now they do the same. I am real curious of where they are going to take me. For years as a sugar broker I traveled often to NYC and hit most of the top ten. When I mentioned some to them they first frowned shook there heads and smiled. It should be fun.:)

Different strokes and all. I love the culture, especially the ethnic culture available there. I am half Polish, half Italian and both cultures have a good presence there. You can actually find homemade pierogies in the restaurants up there, where down here Mrs T's is as close as it gets! I love the several Chinatowns, the Museums, the shopping, and of course the hustle and bustle of Manhattan. I really do love a lot about the city.

But I also like my elbow room. Where I live now I have a 3300 sq ft home on a half acre lot, in an upper middle-class neighborhood where I seldom feel the need to lock my doors, and my mortgage is only $600 a month. To match that same standard of living up there I would have to make at least 4 times what I make now.

Everything in life is a trade-off.........

I'll offer you $650 a month for your home and mortgage.

Sugar broker... ...thought you had been a physicist.

Education wise I am an aeronautical engineer with a masters in aerodynamics. Also commercial airplane and helicopter pilot. But inherited other businesses. Sugar and tobacco plantations. Have represented many foreign companies here on Dom Rep including one of the oldest sugar brokers from the UK.:)

I agree. It is embarrassing what my daughter paid for a 2 bedroom and my nephews 3200 sg ft overlooking the park cost a fortune.
