So I just saw on the label today (which is sad as I usually read labels more closely) that the juice I just received says it is good for one year from the date on the bottle. Does it actually go bad or is that just a liability thing? I only ask since I like the concept of steeping and was wondering if I should try to cycle things to make sure they don't sit for more than a year. Not that I'm certain I could ever let it actually sit that long...

Not sure why you would take that long to vape it :D, but "Properly Stored" I have vaped "LOTS" older than 1 year old juice (3 years), and it was fine. This is JMHO and it is better fresh, so Vape On.

Yeah I don't plan to steep it nearly that long but it made me curious as I haven't paid too much attention to how old it is vs. how much I have and so on.

It's a liability thing... that, and after 12 months the nicotine will start to degrade...

I can't imagine any liquid (including a custard) that will continue to get better after a 6 month steep... once they get to 6 months, hit em!

6 months? wow!! I truly am big on steeping!!! I try to hold out as long as possible.

It usually turns out to be about 65 seconds. Exactly the time it takes me to go from mailbox to kitchen. Grab scissors. Open package. Convince myself that what Im doing is ok.. then drip!

Okay good deal. I'll try to figure out my rotation to run around 6 months at max, then. I just got thinking about it since I have so much that I may have to control my urges in purchasing more for a while, lol.

Is this part of the FDA regulations on bottle labeling by any chance?

I will finally be getting my first order from you this weekend Kent, and I must say I'm pretty excited for pay day!

I don't throw any juice away and what that means is I have at least 1500mls (probably a lot more but that figure makes me happier) in total of juices I didn't like when I received them. Testing every month for the next three months they're still no good to my palate. They're all in a spare fridge now and, best I can tell, have not changed as far as the disagreeable taste they had originally (perfume/chemical) and some are approaching two-years-old. They're all also 70% PG which is anti-microbial. I have no way of checking nic levels so that may have degraded. I wish whatever taste they had that I didn't like would have died off with such a long steeping but it didn't. I have only ever had one juice that was suspect and I had a large bottle of it so when it went from amber to pretty close to black it became a house-plant insecticide. There's no way with a color change like that that I would taste it and it happened way before a year was up so that may have just been characteristic of that juice but I wouldn't trust it.

"use-by-dates" are a forgone conclusion - it's under immediate consideration. It's pretty much a standard in the consumer food industry - that's the best standard we have to go by.

CLS, CB, Frenilla, GCD, Doodle, H1N1 - they will all get dark comparatively fast. It's a bakery vape thing. The evolution is color is one indicator of "is it done yet?" I'm not sure I would "distrust" a liquid because aggressive changes in color, especially in higher nic levels (higher nicotine levels translate into more rapid changes in color)

You're right though, the super-deep steep generally isn't helpful. If a liquid hasn't 95% stabilized in 90 days, or isn't hitting for you in that time frame - trade it or toss it.

I think it's good that you do these things anyways.. all you can do is provide as much information as possible, what people do in the end you can't control.

Just placed my first order! Frenilla, CLS, H1N1, GCD .. The anticipation is already killing me :)

I'm using a kayfun with a provari.

speaking of that, I saw your other post talking about Reo's and I'm not going to lie.. I was very tempted to buy one today.. I still need to do a little more research so I may wait a few more weeks but I seriously think this will be my next buy!

I a total REO fanboi - mind you - I am in no way connected with Rob or REOS Mods - I just appreciate the way the guy does business. Plugged into the community, accessible to customers, treats people like family, makes a product with impeccable attention to detail, not so stiff he can't laugh at himself. Good man - good company - MADE IN THE USA baby.
