Hey 'BJ43', while you're here and the thread has resurfaced; how are you liking Inawera tobacco? vrs. Hangsen? I'm still on RY1 and have threatened many times to switch to Inawera. Maybe soon, I've been following their threads for a while now.
Not BJ but TDM S'Camel has some very nice merits...add DNB for desired ashy taste.
I only use FlavourArt Shade at about 8%. I make it 250ml at a time and add 1.5ml FA Vape Wizard and .5ml FA Black Fire (BBQ). Comes out as a very mild tobacco to me. That's the trouble with flavors; depends on the person. I tried all kinds of flavors but I am like you and did not want any sweetness in the mix. Just wanted an ADV that would replace smoking.
I've ordered Inawera flavorings several times and no issues so far.
I meant has anyone tried the Hangsen flavors on the RTS site I am looking to get close to a Camel Turkish Gold which does have a hint of vanilla and am wanting to try Hangsens BD Tobacco Flavor, sorry it is not plain.
I've used Hangsen's RY1 & RY4 from RTS.
They're both very good @ 2.8%-3% in 70/30
The RY1 tasted strikingly like an American cigarette.
It's very popular with my tobacco flavor vaping friends so I keep some in stock.
FW East Coast Tobacco is exactly the same as MBV ECT.
It's their best tobacco flavor IMAMYFNSHO (in my and my friends' not so humble opinion).
Keep in mind that Inawera Flavors need to mixed with a Base to fully get a great Tobacco experience.
Inawera IMO is a 10. Hangsen a 9. I still use a lot of Ry1 as a base.
Thanks for chiming in, that's what I was figuring. I think I'll always use Ry1 as a base too, which ties into what 'michael' said above.
Do you get any complaints from the boss lady on any exhale odor? If so, what flavors?

She has asked me a couple of times to crack the truck window, not so much odor but the amount of vapor with my 20 amp raptor PT in the truck...
I mix all my Inawera without a base and they're excellent!

I've made out my shopping list for ECX - RUYAN 10ml (TobaccoExpress),RY1 10ml (Hangsen),Black Mile 10ml (TobaccoExpress), USA 10ml (Hangsen),Madagascar Vanilla 30ml (FlavorWest),Black Cherry Tobacco 10ml (Inawera),Vanilla Tobacco 30ml (FlavorWest),BD Tobacco 10ml (Hangsen). And yes some are not just a tobacco flavor but they sounded worth a shot. This will be my first tries at DIY so I hope I do ok - will let you know.

I had given up on ever finding a flavor I could enjoy as an ADV, tried way too many over the years. Never would have tried RY1, assuming it was just an RY4-type sweet tobacco, if it weren't for finding this thread. It's just what i have been looking for all these years.
I did end up spending a buttload of cash on even more flavors I don't like after RY1

You are welcome and seeing your join date we have been at this for a long time. I thank Jimi D for putting me on to Hangsen Ry1 first and then Inawera Dark Tobacco. They have been game changers for me and my goto bases.
