I want to quit analogs, just said screw it and decided to go for this alternative full force. bought 2 set ( batts and atomizers) also two extra of each. Then kicked in qty2 50 ml Mboro high. All this cost me about 200 bucks (including usb continuous thingy). I went with the joye 510, lots of good reviews on this device here and elsewhere.

I'm really looking forward to this, I'm a pack and a half smoker hitting 30 next month so help me out i'd appreciate it (maybe this is a mid-life crisis thing or maybe this choice changes my mid-life). I'm a floridian and in the last couple months federal and state taxes on "SIN" have bumped smokey treats up 2 bucks a pack, hopefully this will help the cause of the e-cig. From all I've read and all the vids I've watched seems like a decent viable alternative. So I'm excited about this, also forgot to mention, I am a techie and work with electronics sooo this really hypes me.

I'll poste my progress and my likes / dislikes.

Thanks in advance for the support I've seen in other posts, this seems like a cool place with polite, helpful, and fervent members. I hope to become a fervent follower and hope ecigs change my life and end a hopeless deadly addiction.(next we need E-vodka lol)

You're gonna love that 510. I got mine a little over a week ago and haven't had a single analog since. I never thought I'd ever kick this 40+ year old habit, but it's as easy as falling off a log with the 510. Only regret is that I didn't know about it sooner. I could've saved a ton of money on other methods that did not work. Keep us posted, eh?

you guys are great, thx for the replies and encouragement. I can't wait to get my 510 (blue tip sounds so freakin cool) Gonna be about a week, smoking an analog now and sad that I can't try this now. I'll give my fully newb review when I get my packages. I smoke cheapies now that taste like crap and I'm thinking that it can't get much worse. So, I will give a good review and if there is operator error hopefu;;y someone here can help me out.

Should I jump into the teabag thing ?? Or should I try the basic method first ?
I bought extra carts and liquid but my unit comes with 5 charged carts. I've heard peeps have had bad experience s with pre-charged carts.

any reccomendations?

I tried the cartridge thing for a couple of days, didn't do it for me... at all. I'm dripping exclusively now with a blank cart. 1 drop on either side of the atomizer and I'm good for 10-15 puffs.... rinse, repeat.

Good video here... It's geared for a specific model but pretty generic all the same.

1. Don't expect the Marlboro juice to taste anything like Marlboro. The best tobacco flavors I've found so far are Dunhill and Turkish Blend. I just didn't want you thinking you would get something that tastes like a real cig when you probably won't.

2. Pre-filled carts that come with the ecig are usually nasty. And don't forget, there will be primer in your atty that helps the carts taste like crap. Before you start vaping, blow the atty out blowing on the battery end of the atty then prime with your Marlboro juice. After a few drags it should start tasting better.

3. A lot of the 510 attys have a break-in period. It actually took my first one a couple of days before it started working like a good atty should.

4. If it was me, I woulg get used to using the cig before I started trying any cart mods. Play around with the ecig and the carts, learn how to fill, top off and drip then start trying the mods.

5. Someone once said " Wait a week before you do a review on anything" (wish I could remember who said that ) It is some of the best advice I've gotten. There is a learning curve with each brand of ecig and sometimes it can take a bit to work things out.

6. Welcome to ECF! Keep reading, there is a lot to learn!
