exkool: I gotta think you either A: got a funky batch, or B: maybe they were shipped/stored somewhere along with something and picked up a funky taste. I do know that can happen...the filler is designed to be super absorbent. I had some that were shipped in a box with an eliquid that I ended up HATING and the empty cartos that were in with it all ended up taking on the nasty straw/earth/dirt taste that was in the tobacco liquid. I did a quick clean through and it went away 95% and with the first full run through of liquid after that it was gone!
