How do we identify the bad insulators? Mine are tan and every video I watch the new insulators are clear. Can someone shed some light on this please

You are watching old videos then. The new ones are brown/caramel/tan whatever you want to call it.

I solved this increasing the wattage up to 30W and opening the air regulator more, now works great with much more vapor and no harshness at all

Exactly! As I've reported many times here, harshness, sore throats and coughing are often indicators of flooding. Too low of a power setting will cause those issues and a hot vape. Many, many times mistaken for dry hits because of the heat. Congrats on your courage to crank it up and enjoy your flavor machine!

Honestly I'm shocked by how good this atomizer wicks.

This is my combo after 30 mls of juice

I have never ever had a coil that looks soo clean after that amount of juice

Easy to tell that was wicked heavy originally whether yours or factory. After 30ml the wicking has not sagged away from the end turns of the coil. Perfect.

I have to love (and hate) my wife at times. She was cleaning my tank prior to its first use and dropped the glass....
I do have the spare it comes with, but I want a spare just in case something happens. Any suggestions as to a good place to get replacement tanks for my Subtank Mini? (Hopefully a EC certified vendor)
Thanks!

I've been battling the wicking techniques (as many here have) since this is my first rebuilder. I had a little bit better luck with this last one. Resistance is .7 and I'm able to take short (<=4 sec) drags on it at about 17w without getting burnt hits.

I'm going to take another stab at wicking tonight, but I was hoping someone could help me clarify some technique. I've seen a lot of different things about keeping the cotton (I'm using japanese cotton) fluffy, but you also want to compress it, but not twist it.

My plan is to cut a piece about 3-4x the ID of the coil, take one side of the compressed "skin" off, compress it down about half way (the amount that will go through the coil), snip the ends, then fluff it back out while laying it down to the base.

Does that sound right?

p.s. Nopes, this post ain't approved by no reseller. But I'm sure they'll like it. They're gettin' the nod 'cause they done it quick.]

Excellent. Have the 2nd from alt. vendor and consistent with the 1st. Performance identical. Now less concerned parting with one for upgrade but will try the app first. If I can figure out how to get it without imputing my password to an unknown site (think mentioned above). I've seen a few have managed it but no answers on how to go about it. I need to take one at least to 65W.

Yep colors gal. That's the ticket. Love the blue and the gray. Seems it may exhibit a slightly better scuff resistance than C-ANA. Not as matte as the IPV's. So a bit dressier looking than either to my taste.

Most important they seem to bring out a bit of the edge on the low end of power for the Kanger's. Their chipset is optimized I understand to support higher res builds as most of us prefer and can easily get to if we rebuild (that means .7Ω and up). With 1.8Ω being the higher sweet zone perfect for a fast firing, thin wire, broad coverage build. I'm getting excellent production from this combo on 15W (I go 60W on my authentics). Very pleased.

Good luck!

:)
