Agreed. I'm pretty sure there's no harm in leaving them stick out but they look better pushed in.... I've been pretty much exclusively using the rba but those occs are decent and rebuild a lot easier than some prebuilts.
There is a little harm leaning them out... It creates a choke point in the juice delivery, when the wick swells inside of the hole (unless you use rayon) and causes dry hits, especially when using higher vg juice. So it's more then just an aesthetic consideration![]()
I stand corrected.
I always just push them in but I've seen several photos with people leaving them sticking out (and actually a few people saying they preferred it that way when I was watching and reading how to rebuild the occs before buying my Mini), so it was just an assumption.
And, so has no one here tried the "Subtank Mini STYLED" knockoffs at FastTech? I'm nervous about getting a cloned tank but two for the price of one to have as backups sounds oh so appealing... Maybe I'll just save up and get another Mini and a Plus or two (for the girlfriend too, not just me).
Man, I'd kill to be you, I'm doing 8-10ml/day.My juice consumption has gone from around 3 ml every two days to closer to 4.5-5 every two days, but it's a trade-off that's most definitely worth it.
talking about juice consumption, 20-30mls/day, yes i diy my own juice , if not i'd go broke
How often do you have to clean and rewick?
Yeah, that's my experience as well. Had a hard time getting the wicking to work until I used more cotton than I normally would (weird) and to tucked the wick ends in.I tried leaving them out... Even a little long, thinking it would wick the juice better when the tank was low, but my juice tends to be higher vg, and I got dry hits left and right [emoji14]
Poked them in, and bam... Dry hits went away
I use rayon almost exclusively, but have a lifetime supply of rayon and cotton both. KGD had some loyal followers though.Anyone having troubles wicking or just on the hunt for a better overall experience with the subtank - go check this treat

AFAIK that's normal. I figure the coil flashes the juice to steam which condenses into vapor as it travels up the chimney. Some of that vapor condenses in the tip which drops down and accumulates there.Ok, I might just now have noticed this but Im giving this a shake here.
On my Subtank Mini with the RBA I am not getting any juice in my mouth, BUT under the drip tip, it seems to fill up with juice. I need to clean that out (or shake it out if I don't have a cloth handy) a few times each tank. Am I running it on too low a wattage and not vaporizing it completely or is this just a natural occurrence?
Just thought I'd check in and let you know that i went by the B&M and got my issue fixed.....user error. All kidding aside, there's nothing like having an RDA/RTA expert watch your setup and pinpoint exactly what you are doing wrong.. ..expensive way to learn a lesson, BUT lesson learned nonetheless.
