I was using Nautilus with BVCs.
I got the STm for the RBA base in case of vapocalypse if premade heads become unavailable.
I'm using the 1.2 OCCs in 2 STms while I can. I still use the BVCs on my P2s & 2.5s.

I find the flavor & vapor drops off after about 50mls through my 1.2s at 18W with 50/50 DIY.
I don't use terribly gunky juice but those are my results from about 6 different 60ml bottles.

Anyone getting similar or widely different results with the 1.2s at 50/50 or similar?

I'll build when/if I have to (I'm keeping my used OCCs). I like convenience.

Agreed. I'm pretty sure there's no harm in leaving them stick out but they look better pushed in.... I've been pretty much exclusively using the rba but those occs are decent and rebuild a lot easier than some prebuilts.

There is a little harm leaning them out... It creates a choke point in the juice delivery, when the wick swells inside of the hole (unless you use rayon) and causes dry hits, especially when using higher vg juice. So it's more then just an aesthetic consideration :p

I stand corrected. :)

I always just push them in but I've seen several photos with people leaving them sticking out (and actually a few people saying they preferred it that way when I was watching and reading how to rebuild the occs before buying my Mini), so it was just an assumption.

And, so has no one here tried the "Subtank Mini STYLED" knockoffs at FastTech? I'm nervous about getting a cloned tank but two for the price of one to have as backups sounds oh so appealing... Maybe I'll just save up and get another Mini and a Plus or two (for the girlfriend too, not just me).

I tried leaving them out... Even a little long, thinking it would wick the juice better when the tank was low, but my juice tends to be higher vg, and I got dry hits left and right :p
Poked them in, and bam... Dry hits went away

Somethings going wrong with my ST Mini. Every time I fill it, it's soon empty. I'm not sure where it's leaking out yet, cant find anything in the AFC, or on my mod (though it's battery seems to be draining out very fast). I'm going to contact Kangertech, and see if they also make the seals for my bottle of Dutch Apple Pie juice...I swear it was full two days ago! I honestly dont know whats happening to all my juice....;-)

Agreed.

Sometimes I try to be conservative but man... Since getting the Mini I enjoy vaping so much more. Even though I'm getting much bigger and cleaner hits I just can't put it down (and I'm one of the rare ones that didn't drop nic levels after switching to this, being my first venture below 1.8).

My juice consumption has gone from around 3 ml every two days to closer to 4.5-5 every two days, but it's a trade-off that's most definitely worth it.

Yeah, that's my experience as well. Had a hard time getting the wicking to work until I used more cotton than I normally would (weird) and to tucked the wick ends in.

Ok, I might just now have noticed this but Im giving this a shake here.
On my Subtank Mini with the RBA I am not getting any juice in my mouth, BUT under the drip tip, it seems to fill up with juice. I need to clean that out (or shake it out if I don't have a cloth handy) a few times each tank. Am I running it on too low a wattage and not vaporizing it completely or is this just a natural occurrence?

AFAIK that's normal. I figure the coil flashes the juice to steam which condenses into vapor as it travels up the chimney. Some of that vapor condenses in the tip which drops down and accumulates there.

Just thought I'd check in and let you know that i went by the B&M and got my issue fixed.....user error. :) All kidding aside, there's nothing like having an RDA/RTA expert watch your setup and pinpoint exactly what you are doing wrong.. ..expensive way to learn a lesson, BUT lesson learned nonetheless.

Really these tanks are amazing, and most of the issues are user error. Not always because the person is a "n00b" who doesn't know how to build.....but because these are a different beast then what many are used to. Once you figure out how they like to be built and wicked, they are dependable and great vapes. The same thing happened with the kayfuns, the squapes etc....etc.....complaints of dry hits, complaints of leaking. When I first got my kayfun lite clone, it would leak on me for the first quarter of a tank, every tank....... Totally user error trying to top fill it. Learned the tank, got a needle dropper, hasn't leaked since :p

Two is one, one is none. Dual parallel on an ST Mini.

28ga A1, 9 wraps on 1.5mm, 1.4ohms each, 1mm above the airhole, wicked with organic cotton, fired at 26w.
Still breaking them in, so not gonna call it on the flavor, but the vapor production is way up from my normal 3mm single at the same wattage/juice. Im doing 1.5-2 second MTL hits, and putting out respectable clouds. On the flip side, airflow is waaay down, the cyclops setting feels like the 2-hole, so no lung hitting. Wicking seems to be working well, I packed them a little tighter than I normally go, but having two tails on each end let me trim them to keep the weep hole open. Can take 4 hits back to back, and dont taste any dry wick.

Will report back on flavor once they've had some time to settle. Unless it starts tasting unbelievable, this build was way too much of a PITA to recommend, but was a fun challenge/experiment.

Edit: I need to correct myself, I used 28ga, not 26ga, sorry if there was any confusion.

Now that I've run it for a couple hours, I can say the flavor is entirely comparable to my single coil builds. Vapor production is still up a notch from the single. Warmpth seems to be up a bit, but that could just be me. Ran it up through the ranges to 40w, Rowdy, hot, thick vape, with a noticeable tinge of dry wick. Was a fun experiment anyway.

Subtank mini #2 came in the mail yesterday, woo-hoo! It came with the black O-rings as spares and two of my favorite colors are red N black, so I swapped out the red O-ring closest to the drip tip with the black one. It'll look killer on top of my black MVP 3 with another wide bore carbon fiber drip tip. These tanks are awesome!
