I have the one on the right...... And I have chain vaped 80/20 vg/pg with no problems through it unmodified
Sent with one hand, the other is busy vaping.
I usually run it full air, and at 25 watts.....running a 1.2 ohm Clapton coil wicked with rayonGood to know. I have no experience with the initial release rba. What airflow setting and wattage are you able to chain it at?
If you run it on the "2 hole" setting at 25w do you get a more flavorful and dense vapor output?I usually run it full air, and at 25 watts.....running a 1.2 ohm Clapton coil wicked with rayon
If Kanger could make a straight RTA version of the STM that was shorter, had the same airflow, and about a half ml more juice capacity I would be in vape heaven!
In theory yes, but it's over kill with that Clapton coil, and a little warmer then I want.If you run it on the "2 hole" setting at 25w do you get a more flavorful and dense vapor output?
I would just get leaks when I filled it but it would dump between a half ml and a ml every time before the pressure would finally equalize!Yes!! I would love a "mini" Subtank mini! I usually run my ErlPriz in nano mode and I LOVE it. But, yes...I agree about the ErlK/P...If you use too much wick you get dry hits and if you use too little you get leaking. I rarely got leaking from refilling but I would often get slow leaking if it sat for a long time.
Never a leak from the STM though!![]()
Well I just checked and my all 4 of my rba's have the bigger channels. Must be because I waited a couple months after they released the stm to get mine. Makes me happyCorrection to my reply above. There WAS an intial release rba that had smaller juice channels. The channels also weren't machined all the way through the rba base flange. My bad. That rba was quickly taken off the market by kanger. In fact, I bought my STminis from two different sources within 1 month of initial release and received the current version rba in both. Picture below shows initial release rba on the right and current version on the left.

@vjdossey, I should have said that all "mine" measured the same instead of using the words "intitial release" in my reply to your question....sorry about that V...![]()
You could try a thin diamond filament file.Anyone know of a cheap method to "file" out my juice channels without having to buy a $100 dremel? I think the juice channel method is superior to the new juice "hole" method because you can run your tank low and still wick. So I would prefer just to modify the old RBA section instead of buying the new one that just came out.

Flavor? I got a Kanger STM this week, after using it for a few days I have become a little frustrated with
the lack of flavor. Coming from a Orchid running dual 26g @ 0.6 ohm the flavor is awesome using a King
mech mod or a Sigelei Mini @ 25 or more watts. Using mech mod or a wattage mod with the Kanger makes
no difference in flavor. Higher wattage produces a burnt taste and lower wattage is better just no flavor.
I've built the Kanger STM's RBA using 26g @ 0.6 ohms. I get tons of vapor with the STM but NO flavor
at all and burnt taste at higher watts. I'm using 60VG/40PG juice and Japanese orginic cotton.
Anyone got a trick, tip or hint for improving flavor???
Congrats on your purchase tencars and welcome to the thread. I get the best flavor with the afc on the 2-hole setting and run it at 30w with a twisted 28 or 29g spaced coil using 65vg. If you can't run yours at 25w without burning you may need more wick. It takes a lot. It also helps to make sure the wick tails are just touching the juice well deck and the juice channels are not covered by wick.
The little blue screwdriver is 2mm. Too small for lung hitting imo. Most peeps run 2.5-3mm for best results when lung hitting. I wind my spaced coils on a 6-32 screw to get nice even spaces. It comes out to about 2.75mm. If you wick it heavy enough the 2mm coil should vape fine up to about 20w on the 2-hole afc setting. I vape my 2.75mm coils at 30w. Never dry hits as long as I wick it chunky (heavy). With chunky wicking the flavor will be slightly weak for a tank or two but then, bam!, in your face flavor and the wicking will last through 60ml of juice. Good luck. Can't run it above 17w or its a burnt taste. It may be that its a lack of wick with a combination of a small coil wrap.
I'm using the little blue screw driver to wrap the coil with 6 turns. How big should the wrap be to get a greater
Volume of cotton in the chamber?
Thanks for the help and the welcome. ☺
