Just got my Kato mod clone. Nautilus tank works great with it and fits perfectly. Also got my kick to work with it. Placed kick in battery well against the positive terminal spring. Efest 18490 battery was placed with positive terminal down on top of the kick.

Loving the Kato, it's going to be the perfect pocket, carry everywhere mod. And the steel Nautilus steel tank makes the rig more robust than the original glass tank. :)

Where is that from? I wanted the original, but it's way out of my price range.

Anyone tried to fit the Kick in the 510 channel?

I played around with that a little bit. Some problems:
- the 510 channel is larger than the battery channel so the kick's ground spring doesn't make good contact with the inner wall of the 510 channel
- the kick's positive terminal head is too wide to extend through the 510 hole, which is necessary so the tank can make contact with it

I almost got the VTR but the top ring limits what tank can be used.

Kato is smaller than the VTR. It's a mechanical mod so it's quiet. You can use just about any tank. With my Nautilus and the new BVC coils, I get huge effortless vapes. I have 1.8 ohm BVC coils now. Just ordered the 1.6 ohm so I can be at around 10-12 watts longer without the kick and use 18650 batteries.

I've been using a Hcigar Nemesis. Bringing it to work, it felt like a weed paraphernalia to me in terms of looks. Kato looks like a fancy Great Gatsby-esqe device so I can leave it on my desk without worrying. Build quality it's solid.

lots of youtube videos on the Kato, here's one...

I am very intrigued by the Kato, I think it looks cool. I would really like to get a box mod, but a mechanical one. I have zero interest in vv or vw (and yes I have devices with those features, to include a Provari) and much prefer a mech. Which pretty much restricts me to a Reo Grand or the Kato. Can't afford a Reo right now, although I plan on getting one eventually. But a Kato clone....that might be an option. The only thing that's actually held me back is what toppers I would use. I have multiple devices right now. As far as toppers I use RDA's (clones) like the Tugboat, Patriot, IGO-L, IGO-W, etc. At work where dripping is a hassle I use a Kanger Protank or Anyvape Davide Protank. Would all of those even be compatible with the Kato clone? I don't want to have to aquire a whole bunch of new toppers just to make it work with a mod I am considering buying, but do not actually need. Does that make sense?

havoc1967 , I'm using the Nautilus which is a big tank and its diameter is 23.46mm and it can fit through the Kato's top ring. So if your tank diameters are smaller than that it should fit. I suspect your tanks should fit.

Kato with Stillare Cartel V2 Rebuildable Atomizer Infinite. It's too short.

So with RDA's which are too short maybe use a longer drip tip? Or try a 510 extension. Found this but haven't tried it so not sure about performance...

Thank you for the input, I appreciate it. I imagine somewhere down the clone I will pick up a Kato clone (I also will wait on more reviews). Of course, I have wanted a Reo Grand for about a year now and still do. If there is anybody interested in trading me a Reo Grand for a basically brand new (almost never used) Provari Zombie edition drop me a line :)

Just got this today. A Nautilus will not fit, but my Kayfuns will. Does anyone know which 18650 battery fits? AW 18650 and Efest 18650 button tops both do not fit. An AW 18490 button top with an Evolv Kick also does not work.

Thanks for the info. Mine should be here in a day or two. Sounds like it only accepts flat top batteries, but based on the dimensions a Nautilus should fit through the ring..

Apparently there is a 22m version and a 23mm version.
The guy who sells the Kayfun Black Editions is selling the 23mm version. Yours is 22mm.
You might be able to screw the Nautilus base in from the side opening and then screw the tank on while the Kato is held upside down.
Have not tried it myself though.
