I definitely like how it has two positive and negative screws. The top fill is a non-issue since I can fill the 3.1 from the top fine with no flooding as long as I cover the AFC hole.

I really like the aesthetics of the v4, and if there is a slight flavor improvement, that's all I need to feel like getting a clone is worth it. However, if there is no flavor improvement, I really see no point in buying it.

I have both and I can't see an improvement in flavor but it does look better on my provari. Both can be top filled with the kayfun 4 being a little more difficult but not much more. Both have been great. I used the 3.1 for about 5 months without issue. The kayfun 4 on the other hand, I had trouble figuring out the juice control which took about a day. Now that I have that sorted out, it's been perfect as well. Only get the 4 if you prefer an airier draw and for esthetics. That's just my opinion though.

Well I've been vaping the kfl+ v2 and v4 side by side. To me there is a flavor improvement and a slight vapor increase. I did have some issues with voltage drop due to the spring on my clone but filing the ends flat like the authentic fixed that and the resistance reading erratically. The easy top fill alone makes it worth the upgrade. The biggest improvement IMO is the bigger bore positive post and 4 air holes. Even when set tight like my kfl it's still a smoother, quieter draw and what I can only describe as a "cleaner" flavor than the kfl.

Yeah for the first week I had it, my EHPro KFL+ V2 was still blowing it away.. Changed my initial coil, fixed the juice control I screwed up by messing with the AFC/510 pins, and now that its all sorted, I put the two KFLs away and my two Tobeco KF4s are now it.. Im glad I got a second one, the drip tip works awesome on my Infinite Lava RDA, I can actually take lung hits comfortably with it now. I might have to order a spare if I can find one!

But maybe you're also filling it more not solely because of smaller capacity, but because the k4 seems to go through juice way quicker than the kfl. this to me is disappointing and no reviewer made mention of that.

That's not really a flaw imo. Juice flow in the 3.1 and kfl is a bit anemic, the cause of a lot of dry hits/low vapor and the big limiting factor in performance, even over airflow. I increased the size of the channels on my kfls and 3.1 by about 1/2 mm, got better juice feed, better vapor and eliminated dry hits. In comparison they use juice just as fast as my v4 stock. Because of the better juice feed the v4 can handle higher power out of the box compared to the earlier versions drilled out to the same air flow.

I own both v3.1 and v4 and they are both good. Some people say v4 goes thru juice much faster which is not true, I would say they are almost the same. Flavor feels the same so don't believe what others say because it's just in their head.

The main advantage for V4 over V3.1
1) You can remove the coil without draining juice
2) You don't need a special bottle to fill Kayfun.

Cons
1) Adjustable Screw on 510 connector can't be completely tight otherwise you won’t get a good connection
2) Screw on 510 connector is loose but it’s easily fixed with a little foil on a thread.
3) Some people complain o-rings must be replaced (I have a tobeco version and works great)
4) Tip is much wider compare to v3.1 and have engraved lines which might collect bacteria/dirt.

On the other hand you can't go wrong with either one because both of these are good.

If it has better juice flow (which is the only reason it would seem to go down faster, as that means it is wicking efficiently and vaping more juice), then I am totally in on getting one. If it gets used faster, it's not disappearing in to a black hole; it's just getting vaped more efficiently at a higher rate.

The afc seems outdated, but oh well. I don't see why they couldn't add an afc ring since it already has 40 other parts :p

Now, deciding between Tobeco and Infinite... ugh. ....... me sideways

KF4 is much better on flavor over the 3.1 and KFL+. If SM would make it without that gimmicky juice control and adapters it would be a great RTA - too many things that connect to things to make it pass the voltage from the mod to the coil(s).

I'm not too worried about voltage drop with my high wattage regulated mod.

As for the "gimmicky" juice control, that is one of the reasons you can remove the deck without emptying the tank or flooding it, which is a big reason I want it. It's an on/off switch more so than juice control. All the way open or all the way closed, no in between
