SO I ordered some stuff in anticipation of my kayfun 3.1s arrival, mostly spare O rings, plastic tanks etc. I also ordered a Kayfun Provari flush ring, I couldn't remember if they came with one or not. Anyways it was 8 bucks from vape rev. I just tried it on, nice is all I can say, probebly the tightest fitting ring I have tried to date, unlike a few other rings I have tried, it fits so tight it will shut the air off completely.
The first pick is of the Kayfun ring and a 22mm IBT, there is a very slight taper to it, maybe to better match the diameter of the Kayfun? I don't know, I'll check tomorrow if it's here. The second pic is of the hippo with the same tank.

In both picks, the tank is down as low as it will go. I think a realy clean look if you needed airflow would be to just drill a 1/16 hole in the kayfun ring. For 8 clams I don't think you can go wrong. As far as I can tell the Kayfun ring is SS. I still prefer the hippo ring, it's adjustable, protects the threads of your provaris 510 connecter and you can use it with any diameter device because it threads into your Provari's 510 connecter and doesn't rely on your tank to stay on. If your looking for a flush ring the kayfun is defiantly well worth a look, defiantly well worth 8 dollars.:thumbs:

Yep Hippo works great with the Kayfun, I like the Hippo because it protects my Provari's 510 threads, the Kayfun is nice too. Apparently there was a little bur on the positive post of my kayfun, once I knocked it of,f it eliminated most of the gap between the Kayfun and the ring. It doesn't rattle anymore but it's not so tight that you cant spin it. It's definitely worth 8 bucks. Big advantage of using the Kayfun ring is it allows your kayfun to sit lower on the Provari by about 1/16th of an inch over the Hippo. If you plan on switching to carto tanks now and then or you want to protect your threads get a Hippo. Also the Kayfun is just slightly smaller diameter than the provari so with the Hippo it wont have that "Hybrid" look. The kayfun ring has a very slight taper so it will give it that look.

Just got my Hippo. Looks great with the Kayfun. Since the airflow control is irrelevant for the Kayfun, I twirl the Hippo all the way up. This leaves a tiny space of about 1mm between Hippo and Kayfun, which is created by the o-ring. If one were to remove the o-ring, you could make it perfectly flush, but you really won't notice the gap.

Bonus: I plugged my eBDP into the Hippo, and while losing the perfect look, I am able to tighten up the draw that extra bit, which the eBDP really needed to perfectly suit my preferences.

Is there any small difference in width between the Hippo and the Kayfun? From what I've read, it seems like the Kayfun ring will create a more seamless look than others, but I'm curious to know by how much.

The Kayfun is just a teensy tiny bit smaller diameter than the provari, the kayfun ring has a tiny bit of a taper to it. With the kayfun ring and the kayfun its seamless. I use the hippo for everything else. The hippo has no taper so it gives more of a seamless look with more devices. Plus it's more then just a beauty ring, it adjusts airflow on bottom airflow devices, it threads into the top of the provari so no rattles and you can swap between 19mm and 22mm diameter devices without having to remove it.
