I'd assume the Monster is a modders Kayfun for lung hits, clouds etc.? The Kayfun per se is a classic mouth-to-lung atty. Choose your style.

I don't think they ever made the V3 monster ... I believe that is an aftermarket part.

I do 28g kanthal, 7 wraps or so on 2.4mmID screwdriver and rayon as wick. I don't experiment much on it, this build is just fine for me.

I have bought the EHPro Kayfun Litr Plus v2's and they are great. They were recommended to me when I started rebuilding. I now have 6 and watch for sales on them. I use a 2.5 mm ID coil at 1.2 - 1.5 ohms wicked with rayon.
Agreed, Svoemesto never made any KFL+'s with 2 air intakes, that's a clone gimmick. When you think about it, it's a totally useless option since the center post airflow will still only allow so much air flow. All those dual airflows ever did was give you twice the whistle...
I have one authentic KFL+ and 3 clone variations and none of the clones perform as well as the authentic. I've seen the authentic in the +/- $50.00 range now so I am definitely gonna spring for another authentic (or 2).
I bought all my Kayfun v2+ authentics used ... I do 7 wraps of 30ga on one of those little blue screwdrivers 1.7ohm

"Better" is a matter of choice and taste. I prefer rayon, some prefer KGD cotton or Muji. It's whatever works for you best from what you've tried.

They both work fine. I use ... cotton. Never lets me down.
as for wicking, I've tried them all ... KGD Japanese cotton is what I use.
I personally prefer the Shiseido; seems to have a much shorter break-in time. Cheaper than KGD too, I think. It's also the perfect length for my Achilles, which is neither here nor there in a kayfun thread.

I'm definitely not the Kayfun expert, but I've had: SM Kayfun Lite v1, EhPro clone Kayfun Lite v2 with dual.airholes and Kayfun v4 clones.
The dual airhole Lite v2 did have greater airflow, and mine didn't whistle. Yes, I preferred it over the authentic. YMMV.
