The Kayfun Undead will only live on this little guy for a few more days till the IPV2s finally arrives. The iStick threads and 510 pin are absolute junk, fixed it with an FDV 510 V4 and a little Lexan.
Both are wicked with Rayon, for those that have not tried it, do it now! Better flavor and wicking that regular cotton or KGD.
I totally agree, rayon is all I use. Got enough cotton kicking around to stock an ER though!

I my not so humble opinion that is way too often. I only mess with mine when the flavor starts to change and the resistance starts to go up. Both signs of dirty wick and gunked up coils. Then I just break it down enough to pull out the old wick, dry burn and clean the coil and rewick it.

Matt, every juice is different. I have NETs that wont make it 2mls. I have others that will go 12 - 15mls. Just depends on the juice you're using.
What's a NET?
I think I've gone through as much as 8 mls of juice. When this tank is empty, I'll clean. Do I need to do the whole vodka soak thing?
LB, a NET is a Naturally Extracted Tobacco. They are as coil unfriendly as anything out there. True gunkers! About 2mls and your coil will be gunk city. There are a few exceptions. I vape Heather's NETs and those are clean. Others as well. But the majority of NETs will trash your coil in no time. There are some non-tobacco flavors that will gunk you up in quick order as well. Again, it all depends on the juice. You have to gauge what you think is right. I suppose if you saw how one of these nasty NETs can gunk up it would help you understand more. I always tell people if in doubt just clean and dry burn after every two tanks (KFL). Pull it apart, warm water rinse (or just soak in hot water with a drop of Dawn for a few minutes if you use the mineral oil). Rinse good. Pull the old cotton wick out. Dry burn. Blow/brush off the ash. Rewick with fresh cotton, oil up the o-rings, and reassemble the KFL. You're good to go. Vodka soak is totally unnecessary.
And with that, you ask ten people how to clean a KFL and you will get 10 different methods. I do it this way and it works just dandy for me. Been doing it this way since Summer of 2013 when I got my first KFL and I'm still alive.
NETs sound like a PITA. I have some Tetra Vape's Spike Spiegal that is completely delicious but I cant finish the bottle since it trashes the coil/wick within 2ml. I dont have time for that.

Yep, it comes down to a cost/benefit thing with the gunkers. I vape my nasty NETs in a Veritas dripper. Don't have to monkey with tanks. Just rewick and go. Still a PITA but not nearly as bad in a dripper as it is a tank.

Well hello there young lady! Hope you are doing well.
Is it impossible to last a longer than 3 hours of solid vaping on a 800 mah? I like the length of the mod on a 800, but I get only 2-3 hours prime vapor. I'm running around 1.2 coils and I vape around a full, Kayfun tank per day. Help!

If any of you Kayfun V4 owners were considering purchasing an S-Kit (Subohm Kit) from Fast Teck SKU 2078204, Don't!!! It is NOT a Subohm kit. It has 2.12mm bore, the bottom of it is threaded M2.5 - 0.4mm for Airflow adjustment screw and it's insulator is made out of Delrin at best if not plastic. But it is only $1.46

Hello wise folks. I've got a conundrum. I really am liking the stealth size of the K-Pico on my KFL plus but am noticing a harsher taste. From what I have read and heard, the compact size (shorter chimney) lends itself to a warmer Vape and more TH. This is fine for some of my flavors but my ADV when out and about is a spearmint/ mint. (Warmth not so important). I've tinkered around quite a bit with the build heighth, coil size, wicking material AND then I remembered about the shorter chimney/ warmer vape quotient....
Am wondering if I should consider another option? (even larger coil). I am running this particular tank on a mech mod, therefore can't manually turn down the heat. Before the Pico (in standard mode) I was using 28 ga. 8/9 wraps 2.5 jig coming out at 1.5/1.6, with organic cotton or cello cotton and the flavor was perfect.
Any thoughts and thank you in advance.

I should have been more clear. I'm running 1.2 ohms, 8 wraps of kanthal around 2mm. I have a Cartel, mechanical mod. I'm sure my wicking job is done well because the Kayfun vapes beautifully for the first hour, and starts decreasing drastically in flavor and vapor production after.

Using my REOs more than anything else these days but still using the kayfuns. It's not such a hobby for me anymore and that makes me sad... I've become quite the lazy vaper lolI'm doing fine thank you
Nothing wrong with that. I don't tinker much anymore either. Found what I like and pretty much stay there. Speaking of REO's, someone needs to come out with a regulated, bottom feeder. One that is affordable. Not that I would get it, but it is a big void in the vape world. Cripes, we have everything else.
