I should have been more clear. I'm running 1.2 ohms, 8 wraps of kanthal around 2mm. I have a Cartel, mechanical mod. I'm sure my wicking job is done well because the kayfun vapes beautifully for the first hour, and starts decreasing drastically in flavor and vapor production after.

Hi Tunnel, I don't know if this will help but if I read your 1st entry correctly, I think you said that you are vaping constantly for 3 hours. That seems like a whole lot for any battery (IMHO). I've also found that not all batteries are equal. I tend to by AW batteries because I have always found them reliable. One day, I picked up another brand at a Vape shop and it certainly didn't hold up like I'm used to with the AW's. Also, when we funA battery too low, it decreases their life Just my 2cents.
I'm sure there's more info out there from others too.

I get 4-6 hours with my VV pv's using Effest batteries. Never liked mech mods myself. If you are vaping on it constantly, you're good in my eyes. What batteries are you using?

Here, I drilled my so called Subohm kits to 2.7 mm bore. Broke two of them because of the little relieve cut at the end of the thread, the real S-Kit doesn't have it.

And, of course: Big fat sub-ohm build to try. 24AWG Kanthal over 3.2mm rod at 0.6Ω / Rayon.

Hi :)

I'm vaping a 24 mg nicotine liquid in my KFL+. Took a peak at the manual and it states that going over 12 mg can be harmful. I've been on 24 mg a while now, and haven't noticed any harmful effects, as of yet. Should I take the advice seriously?

Your views regarding the harm of nicotine should be influenced by factors other than what the Kayfun manual says. As for the performance of the Kayfun using 12mg versus 24mg, there is no difference.

For what it's worth, I've been able to fill my Kayfun lite with a glass eye drop style dripper.

It was an AiV 30 ml bottle. I guess larger size bottles likely have a larger dripper though.
Without making a mess? Mine looks like a standard glass eye dropper type thing. It barely fits over the bottom fill hole and always leaks when I start to squeeze the end to push the juice into the tank. I used the top fill method last time and it wasn't too bad as far as leaking, etc. It leaked a bit initially from the small air intake hole at the bottom but once it got good and hot it was fine.

I've filled mine and still fill mine using droppers from Mountain Oak Vapors as well as Halo. The dropper bottom has to be completely sealed or you end up with a mess. I sometimes get a trickle out of one end when I'm not paying attention. Most times it's perfectly fine.

My dropper is sealed pretty well. It tends to leak from the glass where it meets the bottom fill hole. It just doesn't make a tight seal so some of it leaks. Maybe I'm trying to fill too fast by squeezing too hard?

That is the only end it should leak from. :)

Has anyone found a way to muzzle the sound on their Kayfun? Someone suggested the following fix, but I am reluctant to try it:

"It does NOT whistle once you clean the airholes from ALL burrs, take out this useless airflow adjustment screw and line up the hole in the center-post with the airhole in the base. That´s it."

How do I "line up" the two holes, by rotating the screw on the 510 connection on the bottom? Is that safe to do? Assuming it is, will I lose the option of adjusting the flow?

Another suggestion was to stuff the air hole with a tiny piece of cigarette filter. This muzzled the sound somewhat, and surprisingly, did not affect the air flow that much.

And yet another suggestion was to smooth out the edge of the air hole with a diamond tipped Dremel used in jewelry.

Other ideas anyone? Help; this sound is driving me nuts - and everyone around me as well ....

You put a bent paperclip down the air-hole till it intersects the centre-post hole. Turn the bottom screw left and right to get a feel for how you are lined up.

Today's vape mail included the cutest build kit: a thingy with lots of itty screwdriver heads; scissors; wire cutters; a coil wrapping doohickey and 5 jigs; 2 sets of long handled tweezers,; and something other thingymabob, of unknown purpose. All in a nice case. Can't work out what the curved tweezers are for, and don't know why anyone would need a jig the size of a sewing needle. DH's only comment: " The oddest things make you happy..." Yup. :)

Wish I could suggest something but, none of mine has ever made a sound.

Sent with no malice and not a whole lot of forethought from my new Galaxy Tab 4. Thanks Santa!
