Does anyone have an experience with this glass nano tank from fastech? It gives great flavor but it is plagued with dry hits. The channels are clear, the wicking is right and the air flow control is the tightest I can make it.

It sometimes is not pulling liquid into the chamber judging from the lack of characteristic air bubbles coming from the chamber. One potential problem I found is the extremely small capacity - 1.5 ml tops, even though it is rated at 2.5 ml. There simply is not enough liquid on top adding weight to push the liquid down into the chamber. Whatever the problem is, it has to do with lack of pressure and/or vacuum somewhere. That indicates there could be an air leak. I have checked the Oring on the top cap, inside the glass, and they are all fine.

So what is your diagnosis doctor? I really like the flavor from this tank if I can make it work.

Diagnosis: It's from Fasttech...
The flavor you're experiencing is the difference between plastic and glass tanks...
Some people can taste that difference, some can't. The general belief I've heard, is that glass tanks "taste" better...
I'd recommend investing in a better quality glass tank set up, if I were you.
That's just my two cents...not bashing your purchase.

Try loosening the air control some. See if that works.

The point of this tool is to be able to eliminate the need to carry the little screwdriver...
It's a more robust tool, that serves multiple functions...
And nobody is holding a gun to your head and telling y'all to buy it.
But, it served enough purpose for the person I posted it for, and that's the only reason I posted it.

I was speaking for myself. ;)

I figured as much. I have never known you to be pretentious enough to attempt to speak for anyone else.

It only gets one in trouble.:)

That said, I can see where gizmos like that are useful for people who don't see well or have the shakes, you know...old people. :) Particularly the coilmaker.

Yeah the coil maker for sure...like RB over on the P3 thread. He definitely needs something to build on.

The Kayfil works for me, because I'm a mechanic, and don't always have the cleanest hands...so trying to fiddle with a tiny fill screw is a huge pain in theass...
With the Kayfil, I just insert it, and then treat the device like a Nautilus! Upside down and fill the tank!
Sure my device gets dirty, but that always happens with the way my hands are covered in axle grease, brake dust, or rust!!! At least I don't lose the fill screw!

I got my KFL "styled" from Fasttech and it's been awesome. I did have a slight leaking issue in the beginning but after doing some research (and getting great advice here) I swapped out the top chimney oring with a new one and it's been solid ever since. Based on the pics posted mine is a different model (regular $15 KFL "styled", not a plus). My tank is plastic but I have a replacement glass tank coming in (who know when, it's also from FT and looks just like the tank posted in those pics with the red rings). I've had absolutely no issues with dry hits.

That tank posted in the picture is glass like the poster mentioned, not plastic.

My best guess would be there is too much vacuum above the liquid in the tank preventing it from going into the channels. As confirmation, I loosened the top a bit and it allowed the liquid to get into the chamber. The problem might be the thickness of the glass is too close to the chimney blocking liquid from passing through. Just a guess though... Where would I get a quality glass tank anyway? They all look like the picture at Fasttech.

Well, you'll have to drop a little coin, but if you're interested in a good one:
http://www.avidvaper.com/kayfun-fused-quartz-nano-tank-kit/
I don't own one of these myself, as I was never interested in one...but I know a few people who have it. They love it!
That site also sells a threaded Kayfun chimney (in standard and nano heights) that will thread into some top caps they have...this set up keeps the Quartz tank all sealed together!

I have problems fitting this particular glass tank with my regular Kayfun Lights; either the chimney is too long, or the glass too short. Hope you will have better luck.

I can drop a little coin, but not sure if the glass tank will work with my existing Kayfuns. Going to do some research...

I hope not! That's the same glass tank I have coming in for mine. Are your wicks maybe too thick and clogging it up? The glass doesn't go all the way to the bottom where it can block the channels does it? I haven't had this problem with my FT KFL but I have the plastic tank so maybe that's why. Guess I'll find out when the glass one comes in. I also have a Lemo (authentic!) coming in with the order. I needed something else in case I drop this KFL and I'm stuck with nothing but a terrible leaky Protank2 (with no new coils).

But that's a flexible 510 extension...I'm looking for a flexible drip tip that can bend and flex, like a bendy straw!!!
