I picked up 10 needle tip bottles (30ml) from fasttech for $3. They make everything easier. :thumb:

fasttech is a phenomenal place for picking up DIY supplies like bottles, drip tips, or just replacement tanks for atties. Heh heh >:)

Q, I'm not saying they are all bad by any means, just that around here it's hard to find one that's not on the "if it's not a sub-ohm mechanical it's not worth buying" bandwagon and overpriced to boot. Bad overpriced. I have talked to lots of folk on ECF that absolutely love their local B&M. Just wish we had a good one. Most of ours have only been around for the last year maximum. Before that we didn't have any. I'm in Tidewater, VA so it's not like it's a small town. Largest Navy Base in the world and Langley AFB. Lots of vapers.

Sent with no malice and not a whole lot of forethought from my new Galaxy Tab 4. Thanks Santa!

You know what it is the same here in Spokane and I think it is the 3rd or 4th largest city in WA state. I went in one the other day and there prices were what I thought crazy. The juice they have, which I have no idea who makes it was $12 for 15ml. They had a couple of ProTanks but mostly little stuff. Spokane is a weird place. Vaping has never really taken off here like on the westside of the state. I have never bought anything from a B&M ever.

I ordered the 4 pack of bell caps from Fasttech yesterday and opted not to get the kit. I'm just hoping the nano chimneys I have here will fit.

The key to the bell caps isn't necessarily if the chimney is tall enough, but that your drip tip will fit over your chimney, should it protrude through the cap.
I use one bell cap with a nano chimney, and one with a standard chimney...both work fine. I just need to use a drip tip with an inner bore of at least 6mm, in order for it to slip over the standard chimney.

My offer still stands if you can swing it with your friend.

Even with the interest shown here, the old badger simply doesn't want to do it.
It is frustrating to tears.
However, he doesn't care if I take his design to someone else...and I do know someone else who could, at the very least, replicate the design...

I will update when I have some progress.

In the meantime, I'd like to share the great experience I am having with my KFLV2 today...
I built it with a 28 gauge micro coil, and wicked with Japanese cotton...except I used a 7/64" drill bit (~2.8mm) instead of a 3/32" drill bit (~2.4mm)...it's a 1.6 ohm coil, so I'm guessing I did 5-7 wraps...I forgot to count...but I think the key if the bigger diameter coil.
I am experiencing more vapor, more dense vapor, slightly better flavor, and I can only imagine better wicking.

Using my Kfl v2 today as well HB, first time in a month since I got the v4. I set it up last night, using the 7/68 1.5 build I like on the v4 on your suggestion. I hit it a couple of times before I went to bed, pulled the .... cotton and replaced with rayon. I just don't feel I get the effortless wicking, totally on me though as others have no issues. Maybe it's the tighter draw, I don't know, but throughout the day I just can't chain it like the v4. Most apparent while driving. Taste is about the same, I do dial the wattage down a bit on the Kfl too.

The latest word I heard (I believe it was from Q about a month or so ago) was that SM was planning a K4 Lite to be released in 1Q of this year. Does this remain the latest word? And still nothing on the design differences?

I can't recall if it was Qorax, but someone said no JC or removable bases. I paid attention because a specific P3 threaded version was stated too, I would hope provape sells it as they did for the zen.

I have found the same. I have taken to building my KFL with 5 wraps of 28g around a 3mm drill, gives me 1.1 ohms and hits really well on a mech. No wicking problems with 50/50 juice, even in cold weather.

I am finding that the larger coils give a better vape longer. Juice goes from 90 to nothing faster.....But I really like the vape....(same size 8/9 wrap I think.... at 1.6 ohms on a copper mech)

Normal chimney as in the full sized Kayfun tank chimney that is longer or the nano chimney? From the pics, it looks like a nano chimney but I don't know if it is the ACTUAL nano chimney or a similar one that is a different length.

The only appeal for me is yes... I think they look cool.. and I prefer a smaller tank in general. And maybe it's in my head but I always feel like I taste the 'metal' of the tanks and would prefer less SS pieces touching the juice.

That's the one thing I don't like about my KFLplusV2 Second batch. The chimney just barely gets inside the Oring. It would be nice if it was about 2 or 3 mm longer so that it makes a better fit. My EH Pro clone is like that.

Greetings to all, I am new and a current smoker trying to make the obvious transition. My current setup is the aspire nautilus mini premium kit + mvp2. I am also in the process of finding an ejuice I can count on for flavor/nic level to supplement my addiction to reds.

The reason I am posting on this thread is that after reading everyone's input of their love for the kayfun lite plus I decided to purchase one form intaste and should be receiving it soon. Part of the reason I purchased it is that I figured in the long run it is cheaper to build and control the resistance to one's liking vs. the price of the "hit n' a miss" coils.

Having an understanding that it will be my first rebuild and a learning curve to it (been doing a lot of reading and video watching) will I notice a big difference from the aspire mini to the kayfun once I get the build right? I am not looking for clouds, I just want to replace smoking with vaping so I am searching for flavor and throat hit. I hope I did post in the right thread since I should be part of this group soon haha, Thanks in advance

L@@K!! A newbie.. welcome welcome!

One thing I can assure you of with the KFL (or similar!), you will not go back to clearomizers once you start using it.

As for getting the build right, what wire and wicking medium do you have available to you? I use 26 and 28 guage wire for my Kayfun builds and wick with Rayon.

You've found the right thread. The "one and only" Kayfun Lite thread. :)

This is the recipe: 1 kayfun lite plus Kanthal wire (I ordered 28 & 30 gauge) ordered kon gen do cotton the rest, pliers, screw drivers I seem to have. Part of my new quest is to keep it uniform, meaning I will probably just try to stick to mm diameters. Forgot to mention, I will be running it on an innokin itaste mvp 2 for the mean time. I might upgrade after the whole dna 40 chip n' coil is figured out and or provari comes out with temp control and a box mod, but that is a different subject.
